  1. Happy 54th Birthday NoMoreBigDave!

  2. Happy 53rd Birthday NoMoreBigDave!

  3. Hey May 3rd crowd, I am doing fine except I want to get my first fill soon. Unfortuantely due to work and schedule conflict I have to wait until the 29th of June. I am still eating well for the most part and exercising like a mad man so I don't gain anything. I am loosing a little still but just thankful I am not gaining like some I have read about until I get the first fill. I really don't feel resticted at all at this point, so I think I am doing well out of fear of gaining at this point. I don't want to go backwards. Good Luck everybody...

2 weeks post-op, just checking in

Hey Dottie Ann, Congratulations. Sounds like you are on your way. I was a May 3rd as well. Although I wish it would come off faster I am still making small progress. At times I think I am in Bandster Hell waiting on the first fill (scheduled for the 29th of June) but I am making progress so I too am happy with the decision I have made. Keep us posted. Dave

    Hey Folks

Thanks Gary, I was banded by Dr. Wagner as well. I see him later today for my first visit after the surgery. It's interesting that you didin't fell any restrictions until the third fill. I am having a hard time distinguishing hungry, full or just uncomfortablity from the surgery. Right now I am just trying to eat in very small amounts three times a day and get things adjusted. I think it may take a while to understand what being full and hungry feel like now. Good news is all my body functions seem to be working again, BM's and such, and I have not been getting sick. Just want to get healed and then get past the 8 week mark to make sure I minimize any chance of slippage or complications at this point. The weight loss so far is a bonus I suppose.:scared2:

    Hey Folks

Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been watching and learning from others here for a while. I was banded 5/3. So far so good. I had some aprehension right after surgery but think I am on my way now. Just need to learn how to walk the walk and get it right. Too many failed attempts with diets. Looking for the change in life style that is going to make it work. Thanks for all the support.:scared2:

    Banded May 5 and STARVING!!!

Hey folks, My first post. I have been lurking for a while. I was banded May 3rd as well. I did the liquids religously before the surgery and I think I was down 14 pounds before the surgery and another 8 since the surgery but the last couple days I have gone to sugar free Jello pudding and even had a sugar free fugsicle. The scale stopped moving and now I am scared to death the only way I will loose weight is to stay on the liquid diet. I know I am probably over reacting. I see the doctor tomorrow at his office and I am grateful to have lost the 20 pounds or so but if I have to stay on liquids forever I don't think I will ever make it. Is this normal? Will I feel better about this after the first fill or so? I am doing alot of the walking and the gas pain went away a day or so ago. Am I panicing to early?:scared2:
