I had surgery on Monday and went to work on Thursday. I have a desk job and purposely didn't schedule any appointments so I just sat and chilled.

    So tired. Normal?

I had revision surgery on Monday. I am back to work today. I am a little tired, but nothing I can't handle. Gotta save those paid days off for vacations!

    So tired. Normal?

I am only 4 days out and the tiredness is still plaguing me. I would also like to know from some veterans how long this lasts. I am planning to go back to work today and hopefully I can make it all day, but I am lucky that if j get tired, I can just tired and go home. Have so progressed to food with a little more nutrition yet?

    The Suspense is Killing Me!

I am also scheduled on Oct 20. I went in with everything done to schedule in August. My dr told me that day he had to go home to India for "how long he didn't know" to deal with personal family issues. I seriously cried. He had scheduled me in November hoping he would be back for an appointment but I heard through the grapevine that he was returning and got his first available appointment! Good luck!

Band to Sleeve in One surgery

I am also scheduled for a revision on the 20th. Mine is scheduled for one surgery. My surgeon is confident that will be the outcome. He hasn't even discussed that it may have to be two. Good luck. I am also hoping that this surgery will have much better results.

    Band to Sleeve with Cigna

I was approved for my revision (not Cigna but Health Alliance) because I have to have a couple of Unfills for too tight. They presented that as a slight prolapse, although never bad at all. Was approved in 2 days. Maybe an option?

    GOAL! Flipogram of my Journey

    What an inspiring journey!
  16. My BMI is 33. I will be sleeved on the 20th of October. I will have 60lbs to lose. Excited for this new journey. I am a revision from Lap Band.
  17. So I am scheduled for revision to sleeve on the 20th of October. I have no Fluid in my band and haven't since July. Last night dinner was baked chicken breast (was not dry at all) and steamed Veggies. I got so stuck at dinner last night that I was sliming and vomiting for an hour. I can't seem to eat what I should and it just doesn't want to work with me. Unfortunately I over the past 4 years have resorted to sliders to tame the hunger monster. I back up a little with my story, I was banded on June 9, 2010. On the day of surgery, I weighed 188 (I am 5'2). I was losing pretty good with the band with the occasional blockage which I attributed to user error on my part. On my 6th month Bandiversary 12-9-10, my only brother (age 30) was found dead in his bed. He just didn't wake up. It was determined (oh they were so great and made us wait a month to tell us the outcome of the autopsy) that it was sleep apnea. He didn't know he had it. Anyway, back to me. My band closed up that day. It took everything I had to eat anything, but I don't remember caring. Actually, I don't remember much for the next 6 months, it all is a blur. At the one year point, I weighed 130. Great that is awesome, except I was subsisting on Cheetos. That was seriously the only thing that would go down and I was starving. I was finally coming out of the grief fog and wanted to be able to eat something healthy. I longed for chicken. I went for a unfill of a couple of cc and started to gain instantly. For the last 3 years, I have played the fill/unfill game to no avail. I have been filled to the point of barely swallowing Water. It all sucks. I am currently back to 180, almost where I started before. I know I must have more muscle this time because I am smaller in. Clothing size (18 vs 12) than I was when I started the band journey. What I would like to know from newbies and most importantly veterans is how this surgery is different to you. My brothers death could have been prevented by some weight loss so I am determined to not meet the same fate. I just know I can't keep this devil device in me any longer! Heather
  18. thank you for the kind words and the frank reality as to what is still possible with the sleeve. I am determined to be successful again. I really don't remember how i got there before. Truthfully, i probably didn't eat at all. It was all a haze. i am extremely thankful to get a second chance to beat the obesity monster!

    Lapband to sleeve

My doctor said it depends on your job. We talked today and he is going to allow me (if I feel up to it) to return to work on Thursday when surgery is on Monday. I have a desk job. We will see how it goes!

    How long between surgeries?

I am having mine done in one surgery on the 20th. Just went to my pre-op today. The doctor did say that he only does one revision as his only surgery of the day as it can take up to 6 hours as opposed to 40 min for sleeve surgery.

    Lapband to sleeve

Good luck. I have my revision scheduled for the 20th of Oct. I am so nervous, but ready to get this torturous device out of me!
  22. I am interested in hearing what others have to say. I have heard those things you were told also. I am scheduled to have my devil of a band removed and a sleeve done on October 20. Everyone I have talked to has said that it a much better quality of life than the band.
  23. I am set for a revision on Oct 20. I had my lap and placed in June 2009. I got down to 132lbs (with a lot of band torture). I had a small unfill and then my problems started. I am currently 8lbs below my lap band surgery weight. I am scared of the sleeve after the hell I went through with the band, but want to get back on track. I have been I completely I Unfilled for 6 months now. I still get stuck! I know that losses may be slower, but am ready to get this weight off for good!
