  4. Hello all, I am 9 months out from sleeve surgery and lost 100lbs in the forst 6 months. I still had/have (now) 45lbs to lose to hit my goal of 130lbs. Last month I found out I was pregnant. Yay! Very happy and just planned to lose it all after the baby. Well, no such luck. I miscarried last week and am so very,very heartbroken. But I don't want to wallow in self pity. I want to get back on the diet wagon and lose the rest of this weight! I want to lose this 40-45lbs, stop smoking, and get HEALTHY.Basically become the BEST i can possibly be so that I can try to conceive again in the near future. Problem is that I feel like I don't know how. How do I start again? Clears? Pouch test?Protein shakes? How many calories should I be having now? I feel like I've really lost my bearings. Can someone PLEASE PLEASE, give me some advice as how to start again? I'm a person that really needs structure in a diet. This is more important than EVER to me now. I just need a little help.   5. Well so much for that. I lost my pregnancy last week. Extremely heartbreaking.So I guess I'll be getting back on the diet wagon now. I'm 175lbs and need to get down to 130lbs my original goal weight.Just gonna try and get to my goal,stop smoking,and get healthy.   6. 6 WEEKS PREGNANT AND DOING PRETTY GOOD. I GAINED ABOUT 7LBS BUT THAT WAS JUST ME NOT WATCHING MYSELF.i AM DOING BETTER NOW ALREADY. EATING HEALTHY, AND SO EXCITED FOR THIS BABY! PRAYING EVERYTHING GOES ACCORDING TO PLAN....A GOOD PLAN. AND I WILL BE LOSING ALL THE WEIGHT AFTER THE BABY IN JULY. HAPY HAPPY JOY JOY!!

  7. Is it possible to still lose weight and be healthy while pregnant? Not a lot of weight mind you,just a little being as I'm still overweight to begin with (still have 35lbs to go after losing 100lbs.)I'm not gonna be all obsessed about dieting at all,I just don't want to gain a bunch of weight & have that much more to lose after I have the baby. And I do know that i need to be eating protein 1st and what not. Any advice?

  8. Well, I finally got to my 100lb weight loss with 35lbs left to go and now I just found out that I am pregnant! I guess the sleeve really DOES help with PCOS! WOw! While I am VERY happy, I'm just not sure how to deal with it nutritionally . How many calories should I be eating now? Will the baby get enough nutrition? (I'm sure it will take what it needs from me of course but still) I am not a new mother, I have an 18yr old son,18yr old step daughter, and 11 year old daughter.But I am somewhat rusty since it's been so long! And of course I didn't have a sleeve with all the other kids. I am 7 months out from sleeve surgery..lost 95lbs the first 5.5 months,then gave my body sort of a "break" for a couple months. Now pregnant. I still have 35lbs to lose to get to my goal weight of 130lbs, but obviously will have to give up on that now. Has anyone else gone through this? Will I still lose the weight after the baby? (Even though I will more than likely now GAIN 30LBS). Was it devastating to watch to scale go UP instead of down? Did you get enough nutrition? Did you need extra vitamins of any sort? Was the baby weight harder to lose than normal? easier?Of course I will look on the pregnancy forum but just wanted to share some good news and ask for advice. So many questions! In know! haha But I am stoked and thrilled that losing this weight gave me the chance to be a mom one more time in my life. :-) Thanks Dr.Kelly (and God of course!)

  11. well,lost the 100lbs with 35lbs to go and just found out i'm about 3 weeks pregnant! Guess the sleeve helps PCOS!! woohoo! Very glad but not sure how to deal with eating and .y sleeve with being pg. NOT gonna gain alot of weight!And what I DO gain, I'm losing ASAP. yAY ME.

  13. So today marks my 100lbs weight loss in this journey I started march 15th! WOOHOO! I am STOKED!! (Mind you I did lose the first 95lbs in 5.5 months (August) and have somwhat slacked the last 2 months...gave my body a break if anything!) But I WILL reach my goal! I PROMISE you that! 35lbs to go. It's amazing how I notice little things here and there like how thin my hands are or how thin I look when I catch my reflection suddenly in a plate glass window. One day my 18yr old son and his friend came home while I was standing on the porch. He said "God mom, stop looking so skinny,you're freaking me out! We didn't even know it as you on the porch!" I LIVE for days like that, let me tell you! Of course there are THOSE other days where I feel bad for still being so fat and I try to chase those negative thoughts away but old habits do die hard. I'm a work in progress! Oh happy day!!! I'm gonna savor it just for a little while. :-) Thanks everyone on here for their amazing support. Couldn't have made it this far without you!
  14. So today I hit my 100lb loss mark! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!! Feels awesome! Lost 95lbs in 5.5 months.(took a couple months off.slacker). But I WILL reach my goal! Yaaaaaay! me!!

  15. OH BOY.feel like I'vr really blown it.I've been eating terrible the last few days. Not alot mind you, just not actually "diet" food. A bit depressed. Have a pinched nerve in right leg so my foot is numb & I can't walk completely normal.Totally wiped out at work last week.ugh.Dr.says it should heal in a couple months.Uggghhhhhhhhh!

    Should I go to the hospital?

    at about 2 months out, I started bleeding a few days a week lightly. (I have PCOS & only have TOM maybe 2-3 times a year at my highest weight of 265lbs.) That went on for probably a month or so. Then all the sudden I started bleeding A LOT every single day for probably 10-14 days. During that time i had my hemoglobin and hematocrit checked and it was super low 23.4 and 7.9. I was very pale as well. Finally at a dr.'s appt. my OB/GYN told me she could do a D&C THAT day. So 2 hours later I was prepped for that and then when done, I received 2 units of blood. Long story short, I know for a fact that my weight loss had everything to do with the onslaught of TOM. My hormones were obviously WAY out of whack. I lost 95lbs in 5.5 months. The last 2 months I;ve lost about 10lbs (my fault.Kind of took a break,but now getting back on track to lose the last 30-40lbs). I would say it's your hormones. I would certainly go see a doctor as soon as you can. Good luck!

  18. I just don't understand how eating 800-1000 calories a dayand a very active job 8 hours a day DOESN'T make one lose weight! How can that be when you're putting out more than you're taking in??Ticking me off!

  19. Hello all! So I was sleeved March 15th of this year and and lost 97lbs in 5.5 months...(I didn't lose anything in August...my own fault..kinda took a break). I've been walking for about 3-5x a week for exercise but haven't for the last 3 weeks or so due to rain and wind(yes i'm a woose),. I want to do something different but am not sure where to start and what exercises to focus on. I am apple shaped and carry almost ALL of my weight on my belly. ugh! My upper arms,thighs,and butt(what little butt i even have!) have become flabby and I have about 38lbs to go (almost all in the tummy). What I want to know is ...What exercises should I now focus on? Cardio of course and strength training to tone up the flabby parts. But how much cardio? How often? When to throw in weights/bands? During the workout? Alternate days with strength training and cardio? What's a good workout? (ps. I'd rather go to a gym than workout at home) Please let me know what others have do/done that works/worked. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

  21. So just doing 2 Costco Premier protein shakes a day. 30g of protein each. Seems to be helping so far, cuz I've lost 2 lbs over the weekend(and I even cheated with a sucker or 2!Naughty I know!) But I feel like I'm back on track!woohoo! 97lbs lost since March 15th and 38lbs to go!

    Losing hair

    Here I thought I had dodged the hair loss bullet but at about 4-5 months out I REALLY noticed it coming out in my hair brush. Even when I straighten my hair there's a ton of it in the sink! Not fun! I started taking prenatal vitamins and biotin religiously maybe a couple months ago and haven't noticed a whole lot of progress but I think I'm just gonna cut about 6 inches off to about shoulder length and just deal with it. From what I've heard from everyone on here,it won't last forever and losing 95lbs in 6 months so far has been totally worth it. (40lbs to go but stalling a bit). As long as I don't end up looking like my dad with bald on top and a ponytail in the back, I'll be fine!! hahahaha!

    Pills

    I'm 6 months out and don't crush any of my pills. I haven't had any issues with it so I' assuming it's ok. I've been taking them whole for a couple months now. No problems except for they make me nauseous if I don't have anything in my stomach. Ugh! So I take them with about 2-4oz. of yogurt. Good luck!
  24. Havent tried 5 day pouch test yet. Don't know if I have the patience this week. I did get costco premier protein shakes 30g per shake. Gonna do 3 a day + dinner.woohoo! Or pouch test 1st.haven't decided yet.

  25. Gonna try the 5 day pouch test and then up my protein to 90g per day. OR maybe just up the protein & exercise & see what happens. Either way, I pray to be back on track losing SOON. :-)
