  1. I was banded on May 6, have lost about 12 lbs since then. Am having trouble sticking to the 1-2 ounce portions - am hungry most of the time and not having any trouble eating. Also having trouble with drinking slowly - have not mastered the 5 minutes per ounce. First fill is Jun 17 - on the bright side, I am drinking plenty of Water and eating much more healthier than before with no cravings for sweets.
  2. I was banded on 6 May, I too got so sick of sweet stuff - when dr said I could go to mushy - I had some v8 juice - it tasted sooo good. Then went to TX for niece graduation, the guacamole and hot sauce were wonderful.
  3. Hi, Your post about to tell or not really hit home with me. I actually am a failed gastric bypass (1994) and feel like I have been given a new life because of the band. I was banded on 6 May, still on liquid & starting mushie food.

  4. It gets better - I was banded on 6 May. For me the most sore was the port area, now only a small amount of soreness at a couple of the 'poke' holes. Good luck!
  5. I was banded 6 May - some soreness, mostly near the port. Am going back to work in the morning - desk job - nothing physically strenous.
  6. Had given up on trying to lose after gastric bypass in 1994. Only lost about 20 lbs, but stayed relatively the same for 10 years (this was a first for me), but weight started creeping up again - about 10 lbs a year up to 290 on my first consultation in March with Dr Bagnato. After reviewing records and doing an EGD, Dr B. put a band in on May 6. With the pre-band diet, my bmi has gone down 2 points already. My first goal is to get the BMI down under the morbidly obese category.
