Awesome!! Keep up the great work!! -
I also was banded on May 4th my diet plan allows me to have scrambled eggs this week and they have been a blessing to me more protien and tastes great after so much sweet. At times I have felt a bit of shest heaviness and it feels like things are slowly sliding down, that could be the discomfort. I am following my week 2 blended food and look forward to upgrading to soft next week- YAY. Call your Physician office if it continues.

csmart replied to amey_idaho's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded on May 4th by a center ofexcellence in Hoffman Estates, Il. I was on Clear liquids 1 day psot op then on to full liquids creamed Soups, protien shakes, cream of wheat in 1/4 to 1/2 cup increments 3-4 times a day, which have really kept me satisfied. I had my 1 week follow up visit today I have lost 20 lbs since 10 days preop, and 8lbs since surgery- I feel great and started blended foods today OMG was the blended chicken w mashed taters yummy!!! I am so thankful I continue to feel full and satisfied. I think this medical group has this down to a science. Good luck all its great to see so many had surgery so close and we can grow from each others experiences!!! Collette -

csmart replied to thin in 2011's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have taken ibuprofen forever for discomfort, my discharge instructions listed that I may still have them the internest said it can cause gastrointestinal problems so they may want that limited. The Rn that discharged me said take it as needed dont over do it. I have been using the pain meds while I can. -

Hi, I got banded on May 4th and also had an esophogeal hiatal hernia repair at that time. No hunger but eating and drinking for hydration and protien. The shoulder pain has been bad still aggravating, but I am amazed how good I really feel. The port pain stinks hope that gets better soon- but really feeling good and on the road to a healthier happy life its great having all this first hand info available thanks to all for sharing. -
