  1. Hello, I need some advice from those who have reached their sweet spot. I have had one fill and do notice some change. I can't eat thick bread, lunch meat or too fast or I will PB. But if I chew, chew, and chew I can pretty much eat everything else. I also don't get sick from eating too much. Should I also be getting that awful pain in the chest or Pb if I eat too much? I am scheduled for a fill in a few weeks, but not sure if I need one. I think if I was only able to eat a 3/4 cup or 1 cup, I would be good. I guess my question is am I considered to be at my sweet spot because I can't eat certain foods or swallow my fast like before or should I keep trying until I am also limited to the amount of food I can eat. I am afraid that if I get a fill it might be too tight. Ohhh - what should I do?
  2. Thanks for responding everyone. I think maybe I don't need a fill, but maybe I need to work more on my mental changes. I guess I am so familiar with having the feeling of being over stuffed that I need to learn that it's normal to not fill so full. I do notice I have been eating less and my clothes are loose. I also need to work staying away from the sweets. At least I am on the right track.
  3. Hi everyone, I received my band August 25. I am more of a lurker, not much of a typer. But here here is my embarrassing story. I have been having so much gas and I can't seem to control it. At work this week, I tooted in by boss's office twice. The first time it happened, it was loud and I knew it was heard so I started laughing and my boss and a co worker just laughed. It happened a second time but this time it was not as loud, but I Know my boss heard it but acted like she did not. The worst part is, it stunk so I left her office. Is anyone having the same problems?

    ohhhh-so embarrassed!

Thanks everyone for the advice. I went out and bought some gas-x. Let's hope it works!
  5. Bbammom - I don't get on-line too often, so it may take a few days before I answer. I believe Kaiser Moanalua has a 6 PM support group on the 2nd Wednesday. Kaiser in Kaneohe has one 9am on 2nd & 4th Saturdays. I have not gone since pre-op, so I should start going again. I will let you know about the cream. I am not sure if I should start using it now, or wait until I start dropping the weight.
  6. Aloha Bbammom, I had my surgery at Kaiser in Moanalua. I live on the east side, What side do you live on. I have to wait until October 15 for my first fill. I feel so guilty eating normal food, even though I have been trying hard to stay healthy. I have been eating bread and steak with no problems. My doctor said not to worry, we will eventually fix it so I can’t have any bread. I can't wait!!! I have been walking 2 miles at least three days a week, but I want to increase it two 5 day a week. Wow, you have been doing great with your weight loss. How is your skin doing, is it tightening up? I am so worried that my skin will not shrink. Yesterday, I bought a lotion that is suppose to help tighten your skin. I paid $55, so I hope it works. Let me know how your first fill goes:thumbup:
  7. Hello, I have been reading all the posts but have never replied. I was banded on 8/25/10 and don't seem to have any restriction yet. I have been able to eat everything I did before surgery, although I have been trying to make better choices. I can't wait until my first fill on Oct. 15. I am not sure how much weight I have lost because I am afraid to weigh myself. I think I may have lost a few pounds though. I also live in Hawaii so I have no excuses for not walking more.
