Is my nutritionist keeping me fat?

thats a huge amount of calories. i would definatly consult with someone else but what i did is cut down on the carbs but you said that doesn't make you feel good so that might not work for you but i really do think that's an extreme approach
  2. hey all i just got banded yesterday and thought i'd share my experience. i arrived at 9:30am but did not get in the back until 12 because they had an emergency case. i got my weight taken and they were very happy with the weight i had lost. i was walked though the whole process and then changed. i got my iv and the shot in the side of blood thinner. they had a hard time finding a vein to put the iv in cause i have stubborn veins and lots of tattoos lol. once that was done i was told i had one person in front of me and my hubby came back to sit with me for a while. they finally got the go ahead an gave me the margerita (thats what they call the knock out drugs) last thing i remeber was being wheeled into the back and being told to take deep breaths and then i woke up in recovery with the super sweet nurse telling me it was all done. she gave me some pain meds cause it hurt to burp and then they let me walk around for a while. she also told me i'd be more sore because i had a large hiatel hernia repair and had to have more stiches. i got discharged about 4:40- 5 ish and went to pick up some broth and pain meds. i slept on and off last night and have been peeing like a race horse but all together its good and i'm very happy i did it. i have to get a heating pad later for my shoulder but i'm so excited to start living better and being a heathier me:thumbup:
  3. i'm scheduled for surgery next weds and am very excited. i was supposed to have it this weds but some things got messed up. anyway i've been doing really good on my pre-op diet but i wanted to know if anyone else's doctor said no to dairy of any kind. mine said it contains too much sugar...i've been doing alot of research and i haven't seen any other person say that their doctor has said this too...it just really limits my choices in eating and to be honest i'm tired of having the same meal every day and don't want it to be like forever. i feel like he took away all my variety ya know?
  4. thanks for the replies. i know my doctor said something about there being too much sugar but i just don't see how. i have a friend who went through the same doctor and she ate cheese and only did the pre op diet for 4 days and the doctor said there was lots of room so i dunno i guess they don't expect everyone to follow the diet to a tee so the exclude more things. my problem was i'm a very picky eater so i have a limited selection of things to eat and i end up eating the same thing over and over again and then get burned out. i hope this doesn't carry over into the after care cause i'll be screwed
