The weight will come off. Please be sure to keep yourself hydrated and get in the Protein. allow your body time to heal. I went into a 6 week weight loss stall. I was so discouraged. However, I knew this for sure that I had overcome the biggest challenge and that was getting the operation done. Try not to eat anything outside of what is approved by your physician. Stay away from any sugary or too salty items. The weight will come off, you have a tool to assist you with portion size. Now all you have to do is make healthier protein fortified food choices. Make sure you set up an account online to track your food intake when you start eating food. Get in lots of Water and be encouraged the weight will come off. Also do not discount the inches loss. During my 6 week stall my pants became more and more baggy. You will succeed and stay connected with others who have been where you are and understand your struggles. This site is a God send. :)

where is the healthier version of the ranch dressing posted. I did not know HVR had msg. I try to stay away from msg whenever possible.

I know you are being serious but this post along with your followup response made me chuckle. The sleeve takes some getting use to but after about 8 weeks we start adjusting to the fact our stomachs are small.

what does that phrase mean onderland

The great thing about our new tool; for me is although I may feel hungry, I can only take three or four bites before I am totally stuffed. Sometimes it is a little frustrating but at the end of the day this is why I got sleeved because I did not know when to stop eating.

Much success on your new journey.

You'll most likely be good for the surgery just do not eat anything else. Let the staff know and besure to tell them the time.

Do you know that God loves you? Do you know you have a purpose on this earth? Do you know that we all fall down at something? Your strength lies in your ability to get up. A 20lb weight gain is not enough for your friends to be ragging on you about. Maybe, you use the term friends to loosely. You've had your share of struggles. Exhale and love you. You deserve a good, healthy life and it is worth the sacrifices you've decided to make.

I got on my ab machine when I was 2 or 3 days over 6 weeks. I've had no problems.

The elliptical is very challenging. I too will take the advice from everyone and turn on some music, less resistance and take it slow. Since I knew I couldn't stay on the machine long, I was going as fast as I could with higher resistance. The thing is it doesn't take long to sweat or get out of breath. Thanks everyone. We can do it. :D :D

Yes I have reflux very bad also. Even just drinking Water. It is getting better but I have to take Mylantic to coat my throat and also other reflux fighters.

Like everyone is saying please be safe. A leak could be fatal. You made a choice for a better life through weight loss do not sabotage yourself. This tool will not fail you if you make wise choices.

I know what everyone is saying is true. I just want to see the numbers drop. I am going to try to get this Water weight off. My feet looked a little puffy today so I know I am retaining fluids.

Same here only I'm gaining. I know it is Water weight because I can hardly eat anything. So you still do Protein Shakes what kind?
-
I was having complications adjusting to the sleeve. First extremely high blood pressure, then acid reflux and heartburn. Did not want to return to work having to run to the restroom every 10 minutes. So i decided to do it at home.

Forgot to add I was sleeved 04/16/12 and I live in Dallas, Texas.

Starting to really wonder what is going on. I am stuck at 288lbs for 2wks. I am beginning to feel like a failure. I was having a very difficult time with liquids and 60 grams of Protein daily. Tried to get back on track over past week but the scale will not move. Not exercising everyday but try at least every other day. I have been off work for 5 wks and really feel embarrassed that I have not lost more weight. I feel I have lost some inches but not sure how many. Clothes are by no means falling off. I try to eat protein first and I eat out of a measuring cup. I am drinking out of measuring cup also.

Protein shakes have never agreed with me, I tend to get in all my Protein via food.
How do you do it when we can eat so little. I hate the Protein Shakes and anything artificial for that fact. Before the sleeve I could do the shakes. Now I can not stand the foam they make, when the foam separates and I can skim it off the shake has also separated. Gross. I will be heading back to work next week and will try the pre-made Premier Protein shakes to help me while working.

Those are all great stories but I have been off for 5 wks with 1 more week to go. I physically could have gone back in week 2 or 3 but was having problems with the after effects of the anesthesia. Also not eating and constantly drinking takes some getting used to. I was very nauseated and acid reflex very bad. I am ready to enter the work force again but my problem is being at a desk for 8 whole hours. I love this site because we get so many terrific ideas. I will use my phone as a reminder to eat, drink and walk. Everyone is different and you should take your ques from your body. I thought I'd only be out 2 weeks. lol

I chalked it up to the medicines used during anesthesia and the drugs I was given intravenously during my hospital stay. The weird scent did linger a while but now I do not notice it too often. Sometimes I smell it after I drink Milk of magnesia.
