  1. What was the date of your surgery? May 29, 2010 How healthy did you/do you eat? Ate a lot of fast food and lots of pasta, now I am on track to eating healthier with occasional eating out. Use My Fitness Pal to track my calories and workouts which works great. How much do you exercise? Try to workout 3 times a week which is walking 25 to 40 min, doing some machine workouts but haven't been consistent due to various reasons. How much have you lost? 56 lbs (includes 3 week pre op diet before surgery). Lost 31 lbs since surgery. Are you happy with your results? Yes. Although for me it has been more the mindset of deciding to have the surgery was when I made the decision to make a change. I have some restriction (only 1 fill of .5cc) but eat healthy low carb/high protein. Took one week off the first week of July and ate out regularly and only exercised once. Came back .8 lbs from when I left and got back on track and lost 10lbs.

    Pre-Op diet/Fasting.

Sorry to hear that AnneGG. I've heard some "big name" people that have gotten the sleeve and wonder if it is a better option but since it is more expensive, not as popular? I'm sure it will work out though! I got my band on Friday the 28th! Checked in at 11:00am, surgery at 12:00pm and left at 2:45pm. I found out that I had a hiatal hernia. He showed me the pictures of it before and after pictures of after he stitched it up. Also the before and after pictures of the band in place. Pretty cool technology to have such clear pictures. Overall I feel pretty good with the worst times being when I wake up and feel sore and achey as the innards shift to upright. Fortunately I have been able to burp to re-leave some of the gas as I could feel it in my left shoulder. I have experienced this pain before albeit in my right shoulder. I'm not sure if anyone else has ever experienced this but sometimes when I take a big yawn, I would get a pain in my stomach/diaphragm and right shoulder as though I had air trapped or my diaphragm was out of sync. Not sure how to explain it. But I was able to "suck in" a gulp of air and burp it back up to relieve the pressure and take care of the pain. This is the same sensation and the same solution works for me. It is not something I recommend for anyone to try though. Anyways it may be of help to anyone that has experienced it. Hope all the other May Banders are doing well! Stay focused June Banders, your time is just around the corner. Remember, we can all be losers and winners!:cursing:

    Pre-Op diet/Fasting.

Day 2 of my three week Pre-Op diet and doing pretty well. Getting the whole family on board with the lifestyle change which helps.
  5. That sounds pretty good. I will have to see if that fits within my diet. It doesn't appear to cross over any of the eliminate from you diet items.

I am allowed to have two healthy meals to include 4-6oz of lean meat and green vegetables only. Also allowed 1 cup of fruit after meal. I like the part where it says, "If you have to eat breakfast, you may have 2 boiled or soft scrambled eggs". What happened to breakfast being the most important meal of the day? :)

    Thanks for the tip!

    Pre-Op diet/Fasting.

I just started my Pre-Op diet today as well. However my band date is May 28th. After three weeks of only 800 calories a day I am hoping to lose quite a bit of weight.
