  4. Hello, Sorry I've not been around recently, I've not been ignoring you all things have been seriously mad here. I've been in hospital with a nasty chest infection which has been horrible. Also, my mother in law is dying, she has cancer and is very very poorly at the moment. I'm not sure how long she has left but I don't think she'll make it to the new year. So, we've been to Italy to visit her. My DH is over in Italy at the moment which means that I'm on my own with my two girls which is enough to send anyone round the bend! Wow, Suz, your weight loss is fantastic. Well done you. How are you doing Pilko? I've lost 16lbs so far. Which is great, I'm really chuffed. I am struggling with the feeling full business. I'm not sure if I do need to have a fill or not. I'm still losing weight but I'm not sure when I feel full. I've also not been able to eat mushies. We haven't told any of the family in Italy about the surgery, so me going over and eating babyfood wasn't really an option. I chewed and chewed my food until it was just mush in my mouth. I emailed Deirdre and asked her if she thought it was ok or not. She said I would know if the band had slipped and I should be back on mushies now I'm back in the UK, but I've not just chewing and chewing and chewing. Has anyone else stuck to the weights and measurments on the web site? I've not at all and I'm beginning to panic that I've spent all that money and wasted it as I'm not doing it properly. OMG, sorry for the long ramble. I needed to get a few things off my chest. Heb
  5. I didn't have any holiday insurance. I made sure I had my European health card thingy though. S, I did get to meet Dr Debray, how cute is he? Deidre is so nice Pilko, I hope you have a nice stay in Chimay, it really is a lovely town. Make sure you say hello to Deidre from me (Rebecca). Heb
  6. Hello all, I got back yesterday evening from Chimay. Had a fab time, surgery was a breeze and I'm doing well on the soup and drinks. I had the op done with such a lovely group of ladies, it was really quite fun! How have you all been getting on? Heb
  7. Hi all, I'm off to Belgium in the morning, wish me luck. I'll be back before the weekend and I'll let you know how it was. Have a fun week. Heb
  8. Oh Suzanne, that sucks. I'm sure you've not put any on, it's probably because you've weighed yourself on different scales. I'm sure you'll see a loss next time you go. Heb
  9. Site seems to have had a few problems, I think it's working properly now. I'm on day 4 of the pre op yogurt, Deidre sent me an email today saying I can have flavoured yogurt, yay, I've been having plain until now. The pre op diet is going ok, I've not slipped up at all, yogurt, yogurt and more yogurt here! I'm making sure I drink quite a bit of squash so that fills me up and gives me some sugar etc. Managed to loose 6lb in 3 days which isn't bad. I was really looking forward to starting the yogurt as well, I think that's helped with staying on track with it. I think my stomach must have shrunk quite a bit and my liver must be the size of a walnut I hope I find it this easy after the op. I leave very early on Monday morning, I think I'm more nervous about leaving the kids than I am about the op, I've never been away from them for more that 1 night before. Suzanne, get yourself down to boots, I'm want to know how much you've lost! Heb
  10. I wouldn't worry too much tbh as long as it was liquid! Am I right in thinking that I should only be having natural yogurt? I've just read through all the information and I can only find it written that I should be only eating yogurt. TBH, I'd rather have a flavoured yogurt as the natural isn't nicew at all. Heb
  11. Thanks liberysuzanne, that's very good to hear. Well done on the weight loss so far. Heb
  12. Hi, Can I join you please? I'm having the lap band done on the 7th with Dr Mignon in Belgium. I started my pre op diet today, lots and lots of natural yogurt, yum! I'm beginning to feel quite nervous about the whole thing now. I think I'm most worried about travelling back home. I'll get the eurostar to london and then the train up to leicester (where I live). I'm travelling alone and I'm worried about how I'll feel. Anyway, thought I'd best introduce myself. Heb
