I Have gone back and forth with this for years now, and after being told I could not have a full bypass because I have crohn's, I gave up. Long story short A few weeks ago I decided to look in to lap band surgery. I had already been on the surgeons list so getting an office visit was not a problem, at the office visit they gave me the list of things I needed to get done before we could schedule a follow up. I explained to the P.A that I was going to get the list done in record time, not sure she believed me. Eight days after the first visit, I had lost the 16 lbs they told me to, had a sleep study, seen the bariatric shrink, got a letter from my primary doc, and quit smoking. The only hold up at this point is the Nutritionist, she was booked until June, so I called around, and found another nutritionist that this dr works with, and I have a appointment with her on 5/06/10. That's the whole deal up to current. I was reading some of the post on this site, and it seems like a great source of info, i hope to get to know all of you.
