  1. perhaps trying low carb or a ww diet to sort of jump start. That is what i am doing and feel very motivated. I coasted for about 9 months and am now back to lose the rest of my weight and make sure i have proper fills as well. Checking in on this site really is helping loads. Good luck! :welldoneclap:

    Dukan diet

Thanks for your input. I was reading on Atkins this morning that they have upped their vegetable in take. re: Dukan, the blog i was reading was so impressive. I may try Dukan for a week or two and then Atkins which I do like. I came up with a way to make lowest carb bbq sauce by combining 1 net carb ketchup with liquid smoke and perhaps some worcestershire. this would make the meat very palatable for me. I probably would tweak the Dukan diet a touch by having pork ribs with most of the fat cut off and chicken wings with skin (Atkins) not without as in Dukan.

    Feeling sick

I was banded last year in april and suffered excruciating gas pain for about a week or so following surgery. I fould that liquid maalox worked the best for me and was easy to swallow. hang in there it does get better soon.

    Scared

I was also a yoyo dieter and now with the band though i didn't lose that much last year - i don't gain anything back. Sometimes i put on a few pounds but with 1 or 2 days of watching what i eat i am back down to where i should be. I have been away from this board for a while and at times felt maybe i wasted my money. I feel reinvigorated and coming to this forum and reading all sorts of posts really helps a lot a lot.

    im just wondering...

If you search on the internet as I did. key words "ideal weight" you should be able to find a test that you first measure your wrist. If your index finger overlaps your thumb you are small bone structure, if your index touches your thumb you are medium build, if there is a gap between index finger and thumb you are large boned which i am. I found this on the Ducan diet site. It then asked my age, height and so forth and came up with my ideal weight. Hope this helps.
  18. No, have you talked to your fill nurse or nutritionist?
