:thumbup:perhaps a small bowl of soup? sometimes the warmth of the soup or a glass of warm milk helps to get a person to sleep - i know that it works for me. good luck!

How long does bloating last?
mousek replied to mousek's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Tony, if you are only drinking fluids that might be a cause for low energy - I know I have energy around the house but when I try to go out I feel all of a sudden zapped of energy and want to get home. I'm moving on to fuller liquids tomorrow and see if that makes a difference. still bloated. -
Hello everybody, does anybody know when bloating subsides after surgery and does it effect weight? Have been on liquids for 5 days and haven't lost an ounce. thanks for any feedback.

:rolleyes2:Thanks tgo both of you who replied. I'll try to stay away from the scale but it is in the back of my minds. Yikes - 6 weeks - i hope it won't be that long but will deal with it. Good luck all! and thanks for your feedback!

:rolleyes2:I guess everybody goes through it, i'm just wondering when it will go away - i feel like somebody blew up a beach ball in my stomach. Gas is still a problem but am walking around as well - however it does hurt if you take too big of a gulp of Water or juice. Hang in there in sunny Florida! and thanks for your feedback. Golden, I know how you feel. I am 5 days and I look like i'm going to have a baby - just about. I'm sore as well and gas is still a problem. Hang in there.

:rolleyes2:Leigha, I just read your notes on the 800 - 1000 calories a day and work out twice a week - i think I can manage that as well. Golden - good luck and probably talk to you soon.

Hello everybody, I would like to know if there is anyone out there that is roughly in my position. 65 pounds to lose. I was banded April 28 2010 and would like to hear any feedback on timeframe to lose 65 pounds. thanks so much.

Thanks so much for your reply Leigha. Have you been restricting your calories to a certain amount per day?

:drool:Sorry "less to lose slower weight loss" rather than 90 lbs to lose- I hope Golden gets the message left by kkarryall (is that any relation to kitty karryall from the Brady Bunch?) That comment helped so much. This is the first time I'm smiling today!!!

:rolleyes2:Thanks for great encouragement with the 20 lb remark. It starts to get very confusing when reading so much material. I was hoping that it would be at about that rate and I'm sure that my physician will also want this for me. I will not be going for a fill for a while as just banded last week. I hope 90 lbs to lose sees your great comment. Thanks!!!!!!

Only 90 pounds to lose...How long did it take you?
mousek replied to Shauna80's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am also curious to see how some others did - some great posts on this thread and really encouraging for a slightly lower bmi start (but for my size unhealthy - i'm at 33). It seems that realistically a person could lose their weight at the rate of about 2 pounds a week, I wonder how many calories the average bandster is consuming with a bmi start of about 33? -

Hello Golden, I posted a somewhat similar question about 65 pounds. I was banded apr 28. How are you doing so far? Lena (mousek)

Hello there, I was banded 4 days ago. Terrible gas but used some liquid maalox regular strength - that also works well.

Hello everybody, I am new to this site but have been reading a good deal of the posts over the last few days. I was banded on April 28th 2010, I am day 4 post surgery. I have been following my fluid diet and will continue to follow the guidelines set out by the clinic I went to. Does anybody know how long bloating will last? I'm up a few pounds from my start weight. Also, when I can expect to see some weight loss if following guidelines well? Thanks so much.
