    How do you feel about "born-agains"?

    That's a cop out- a real low blow. I am a christian. I love God - I love my family and friends and they know it. You could use some preaching to get back down to earth. You say us christians are judgmental. Who started this thread - full of judgmental comments and hatred.

    VERY FRUSTRATED -- partly my fault

    I feel for you. I am expecting to have a full feeling at some point with not everything relying on myself. I didn't pay so much money so I had to do all the work myself. Keep in touch. lol

    First Fill

    I had my first fill last week - no restriction - so now I am back to dieting again as I too have gained 2 pounds back and would be heartbroken to see the scale go up. I go for another fill in three weeks. Is this what they call bandster H.ll? lol

  7. I prefer not to say. The care is very professional but atmosphere quite cool.
  8. Stress is so prevalent in my life and I see that it triggers the urge to eat. I think it probably does for others as well but could use a kind word of support.

    Can stress inhibit weight loss

    :sad:Thanks anyways for answering. I guess I am so tired out from years of stress and feeling a bit under appreciated for well intentioned efforts. What's the phrase "sometimes it's hard to be a woman"
  10. My doctor in Toronto also had terrible bedside manner and some of the staff are nice where others were not.
  11. :biggrin::wink2::drum:Super wow! Drumroll please!

    gaining weight waiting on first adjustment

    I feel the same way. I'm kinda panicking, had my first fill yesterday (I think it was quite meager). So scared that i will gain back the few precious pounds I lost. I'm trying to stay as focused as possible and eat the right things. Hang in there -from what I hear it's supposed to get better.

  15. :cheers2:Hello fellow Canadians and lap banders internationally. I thought I would have a little weight loss challenge for myself and if anybody else is interested please join in. I'm finding that though not so easy it is nice to have a short term goal to aim for. Eh and by the way, Good luck!

    :smile2::thumbup: It sounds like you're doing quite well Teri. A few short walks and so soon after your surgery. Hope we hear from the others soon and that all are okay. I walked 30 minutes in the park this evening. Take care

    Please don't judge

    I smoke and they told me please cut down as much as possible. i stayed up in my room and read for most of the time 2 days prior to surgery to try and rid some of the gunk from system. It's great to hear about this Chantix - thinking of speaking to my doctor about it.
  24. I too am worried about extra flab but don't really believe that it will go away. The inner thighs, the bat wings, i'm hoping that since my start weight wasn't extremely high that I won't be left with too much skin. I was much lighter when I had my daughter 18 years ago and my stomach never recovered. Unfortunately I think the reality is; is that if we get to a high weight we are a bit stuck with the excess skin. From the photos I've seen some people look more toned than others and it's an unfortunate reality. While photos show a great reduction in weight they also show excess skin. I would think that exercise should be of some help. lol
