My story hasn't really begun yet...scheduled for May 24, 2010. It's been a long journey just getting to this point. I've learned so much since first talking to my regular physician about whether or not weight loss surgery was an option that I could/should consider. My entire family has benefited from the many changes in our meals, snacks, and habits in preparation for my surgery. The nutrition classes I took were incredibly informative and were very instrumental in alot of the changes we've made as a family. Even some of the medical work-ups that I've had done have been more thorough and more educational than anything I've experienced and that includes illnesses, surgeries, and childbirth. On May 13th, I start the high-protein liquid diet and I'm looking forward to have a couple weeks off of work to recover a little and focus on all the changes. Overall, I'm very excited and very ready!
