I am a wife and mother of 4 children. I have struggled with my weight for the past 10+ years... It all started before I delivered my 3rd child. All 4 of my children were born pre-mature>> the last 2 children, I was given steroids to help their lungs to develope.... Needless to say, when I delivered my last child, he was 7 weeks pre-mature.. He spent 2 wks in the hospital. by the time I brought him home, my weight was the same as when I delivered him..Trying every diet there is with failure has gotten my health very unhealthy and overweight. In the past 7 years the least I have weighed was 160lbs... I would loose 10 lbs to gain 15lbs.. Which has happened for the last 10+ years.. My weight has increased slowly, and now I am at  208lbs... I said to myself when I was pregnant that I WOULD NEVER be over 200... I never was when I was pregnant, but I am now... :(I have seen my parents struggle with health issues in the past and I don't want that to be me.. It seems that everytime I turn around, one of my parents are in the hospital for something.. The last time my mom was laying in the hospital bed in the ER, I saw myself in 10-15 years...  THAT IS NOT WHERE I WANT TO BE. Nor where I want her to be..Knowing that the banding has a lifelong commitment that I am MORE THAN READY to embark upon!! I know my parents need to be healthy also. They need an eye opening event! I am praying that my journey will encourage them to try harder to change their ways of life and eatting habbits... I can't wait to be healthy and have my life back to a healthy, active, and happy wife and mom!!!
