  1. I went with Dr Daniel Davis in Ramsey. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Gio Dugay in his office is fantastic. They operate out of Columbia Presbyterian too. I had surgery in July 2008 and have lost 130 lbs. That's not too far from you. They are located right off of 17.

    Need some exercise

I live in the Phillipsburg area (that's about 20 min west of Clinton) and I'm trying to find some place to work out, take classes, exercise in general. Not really interested in Curves but would like to find some place to give that's friendly to the not-so-skinny folk. Any thoughts?
  3. I'm using Dr Daniel Davis in Ridgewood, NJ. He operates out of Valley Hospital and Columbia Pres. My band date is 7/16/08.
  4. I know everyone seems to have a different pre-op diet. I have 2 weeks of liquids with 1 sm protein rich meal per day. Does anyone know what effects alcohol will have during the pre-op diet? Not a big deal, just trying to gather information so that I understand the whole shrinking of liver thing.

    Who's Getting Banded in July?

My band date is also July 16th. Finally approved after 18 mos. Ouch. Went by faster then I thought though. Good luck to everyone.
  6. Hi my name is Michelle and I'm fairly new. I'm interested in Lap Band but looking for the right doctor and / or program. I live in Bergen County. I've heard things about Morristown and Hackensack. Any feedback you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated.
  7. mrythern - Where is Valley hospital located - is that Pascack Valley? Where do you go for fills? Thanks for your info. Michelle
  8. Thank you both so much for your replies. I live in Bergen County and have heard that Hackensack hospital is good and I've heard good things about Capella. However, I've heard so many good things about Abkin and Bertha. Also, the bariatric program at Morristown seems pretty good. I'm interested in finding out more about what either the surgeon's office offers or what the hospital offers in terms of long term support. I'd like to see a therapist and a nutrionist for the long haul. Can you make suggestions on where I can find this info? Thanks again for your help.
