I now have serious burning pain in one of my incisions, its not constant but is there when I move or bend. I am 2 weeks post op and although this has always been my sorest spot, it was never this bad till a couple days ago. anyone else experience this? anyway to help calm the pain? Thanks Sherri

HI Judy, Glad your doing well :-) no I have not been doing much of anything really. lots of walking and naps. I did go to work for half a day yesterday but I was having the pain before going back to work. I have a desk job anyway..no exertion there.. Sherri

well Richmond got back to me, they consulted with Dr Im and I was told just to deal with it and if it gets too much to deal with then go to emergency room.. said my pains are a typical response, was hoping for that carafate or somthing but guess just have to push through it.. sigh.. oh well

I have Dr Fisher, I was going to email him but it shows he is out until the 12th. If I don't hear from someone by mid-day tomorrow I will call again. I did read my prescription again just to make sure and it says once a day before breakfast. Chrissy... Thanks for letting me know you have had similar issues.. makes me feel a little better knowing I am not alone. The NO Nsaids was optional they said its ok in small doses.. This is what Kaiser Richmond told me... you should check with your own Dr to be sure..

Thanks everyone for your suggestions and help. I am on Protonix once a day, but nothing else. I am still drinking, just not as much as before the pain. I definately don't want to end up back in the hospital. I left a message for Richmond, but I guess they are closed today. Hopefully they will get back to me tomorrow... I am still eating and drinkng despite the pain, just not as much as I was thanks again and I will let you know what the dr says Sherri

I was sleeved 6/22 and except for the usual incisinal pain all was right until this past friday. Now everything I eat causes pain. It almost feels like my stomach has spasams or is contracting or something like that. I have not gone off my diet at all, on full liquids now. Even water hurts now. I am calling Richmond tomorrow but was wondering if anyone else who is sleeved has had this happen? Please let me know Thanks Sherri

I am lucky so far to not have any physical hunger. I was just wondering how many others have been so lucky, and how long it has lasted for each person. Thanks for your input Sherri

I had surgery a week ago, just wanted to say great job on the pre-op weight loss and exercise :lol0: I was nervous too up till walking into the OR, but for some reason when I laid on the table it just all went away.. I wish you the best and hope you get past your anxiety soon Sherri

just a note to let everyone know I am home from surgery. I had to stay en extra night because of a hernia the repaired along with the sleeve. doing ok so far, I am getting my Water, Jello down. My biggest problem right now is being able to sit still. slept a little bit since coming home, but now I am figity. any ideas to help? oh and the process was smooth, they make you feel very comfortable. I was not even nerous when they put the mask on hope everyone else is doing good Sherri

Hi everyone, I don't need a refill yet, but I am curious... do they even give you a refill on the liquid vicodin? I have a very low tolerance to pain and have already gone through almost half the bottle. (no worries I am following the dosage directions) thanks for info Sherri

I had Dr Fisher as my primary and Dr Baggs assisting. From Kaisier Richmond, Ca Mine was about his 30th sleeve. no complications or deaths. But he has done hondreds of full bypass's with few complications. he even said to me, if you can do the full bypass, but have problems with the sleeve then there is something wrong since the sleeve is only about 1/3rd the surgery that an RNY is... I really liked dr Fisher, he was strict but kind and I really felt he cares about his patients and their success. Sherri

I take prozac in capsule form. Have had no problems. My dr said all my medications could still be taken.

good morning everyone, thanks so much for all the well wishes. & Chrissy you are right the first couple days are the worst. I still have pain but am feeling much better. I actually got about 5 hrs sleep last night, as opposed to 1-2 i was getting before. not gonna make it to the meeting today, still on pain meds and have no driver. But will for sure be at the next one. still keeping all my fluids down and finally passed some gas!! I know probably TMI, but at the hospital they keep asking me if I had yes thththtth will probably advance to full liquids later today, wish me luck :-) everyone going to the meeting have a great time, for all have a great day !!!
