I am also 3 days post op.. I don't have a burping sensation, I just burp all the time. I'm doing well Dr. moved me on to cream soup and protein shakes because I was starving.. No longer starving.:smile: Good Luck all!!

Good Afternoon all, I will be banded next friday, the 15th. I was wondering when should I purchase Protein shakes and Vitamins. I've discovered a website that I think I would like to purchase my items from its called Bariatric Eating. Does anyone use them? Thanks in advance.

I've been APPROVED!!! I am soooo freakin happy I could do cartwheels up and down my office!!!! So I will officially be banded next Friday, the 15th!!!!:thumbup:

You are getting banded two days before me. I'm being banded the 15th. I am so excited!!! Only lap-banders get excited about surgery, lol!!! Good Luck to you!!!

Hello All, I am waiting for my approval now and it is driving me crazy!!! My surgery date is suppose to be October 15th and I think I would lose it if they denied me and I would have to reschedule... How did you guys get through the WAITING Game!!! Going Crazy in Jersey!!!

My co-pay was $434 (20%) and $2500 deductible for the Hospital. I have know clue what i will have to give my surgeon.

Good Morning All!! I have a question for you. I spoke with my insurance company again yesterday and was told that all I would have to pay is my max out of pocket which is $4500 no matter how much my deductible ($2500) or co-insurance (20%) is. Does anyone know if this is true or had this happen and can share your experience. Thanks is advance!!

In my Insurance Coverage Booklet it says that all amounts paid as copayment an coinsurance shall count toward the maximum out of pocket and there will be no further obligation to pay coinsurance and co-pays after max out of pocket is reaction. But it doesn't say anything about my deductible. I'm so confused..:thumbup:.. I work for a very small from so no real HR person. I also have no out of network benefits, so everyone has to be in-network... I totally stressed out about all of this. OMG!, healthcare is a pain in the behind!!

Good Afternoon all, I have a question for you guys. My insurance is gonna cover 80%, I have to pay 20% and a $2500 deductible. My question is do I have to pay all of this upfront. I trying to figure out how the heck I am gonna come up with the extra... and financing is out of the question...:thumbup: TIA

Thanks for the response, I believe my maximum out of pocket is $4500. One more thing I thought that my insurance pays for the pretesting, psyh eval., etc...

Good Morning all, :thumbup:I had my consultation with Dr. Trivedi yesterday.. I think I made the right choice with him. I felt totally at ease with him. I set up my 6 months worth of visits with the nuturtionist (:thumbdown:BCBS ugh!!!). So I am looking at a surgery date around January 7th. One of the insurance lady's told me that BCBS was making some changes to the requirements and they should know what the new changes will be by the 19th of June. Here's to believing that they will cut down on the 6 months rule:biggrin:.. Anyone else heard anything about this?

I've gone to a seminar, picked a surgeon Dr. Trivedi @ Advance Laparoscopic Associates and now I have to do the six month diet, OMG, I don't know how I'm gonna survive waiting the six months that BCBS wants, Insurance companies stink:tt2:, LOL..
