At this point I've just talked to my family doctor about WLS and have a meeting with the coordinator of WLS at my local hospital set for 4/28/10.6/29/10 - I've now had 2 meetings with the dietician and physical therapist.  I'm down 2.5 lbs and I made the appointment for the surgical consult today with Dr Cornwell.  Submitting to insurance sometime soon.

Update 2017.

Surgery went great. I lost around 140 lbs in a year and then maintained that within a 10 lb range for the next several. At the start of 2017 I decided I was mentally ready to start working the rest of it off. I experienced a stroke in early 2015 that I am still recovering from.

I don't have a plan for the excess skin and this really stopped my progress. Onward and upward.
