Thank you mickeyshart for the reply, I had my surgery on the 17th and it went perfect I am 5 day out now but still of course recovering. I'm down already 14 lbs from being on the liquid fast alone. You're right he doesn't talk much but he is absolutely great! Having gone through the surgery with him, now I can say I really like him alot and feel totally safe and comfortable with him. Thanks again.

He's not one to talk too much, but I feel very comfortable with him. He also did my girl friends Gastric Bypass, she also thinks he's great. Asking questions is how I get most of my answers and he doesn't mind answering any of them. I got my first fill last friday and he was great didn't feel a thing except for the small pinch from the numbing needle. Got 3cc's but I go back in a mth for my next one. I've lost another 8 lbs !!! Whoo Hoo!!

Hello mickeyshart, I too am going to have Dr. Tanaka do my Lapband on May 17, 2010. I was wondering how your progress is going? And if you feel he was a good Doctor to have since you are alittle familiar with him now. Thank you for any info you might share with me.

:blushing:Well first off, my name is Lynda. I'm just beginning my journey. I was banded on March 29th by Dr. L Tanaka in San Diegos Scirpps Mercy Hospital. I am coming up on my 1 mth but still not feeling too much restriction which I've read is pretty normal. I was feeling somewhat discouraged until I happen to come upon this site. I'm hoping to make some life changing choices and hoping for the support here.
