Hey! I noticed that you were self pay with Dr. Groves- I am doing the same, and was wondering if he made you do ao pre-op diet- I know insurance paitents have to, but I don't know if the same will apply to self pay.

Hello Malysa, Yes he will have you do a pre-op diet. Mine was for 1 week. It is to shrink your liver so it is easier to place the band. Dr. Groves is a great Dr. I love him to death. Good luck. When are you getting banded?
