I agree with everyone above . .. but most of all, talk with your doctor's office. That's why they are there - use them. Good luck.

Second attempt to add a post here . . . arghhh - hate this new design! Anyway, welcome back and so glad you are right back at it!!

Welcome back . . . most of us "oldies" are hating the new site .. .. can't even find our old buddies. Hope this message posts . . have not had one work yet .. . .glad you are back at it!!

Hi Bklynike,
I'm here . . just having trouble following my buddies these days (not a fan of this new look for our site). Thanks for sharing your story. You are a beacon of light that so many look to. You are doing fantastic! GOOD for you!!

I don't have to take the fish oil anymore, but my pharmacist told me (before surgery) that if I needed to still take it, I could open up the pills, but I didn't want to do that. I went to GNC and they have a liquid Omega-3 that isn't too bad. Good luck!

Good for you Shonette - I hope this adjustment gets it right and allows you to eat what you know you need to eat. You're doing great!

Yeah! You rock!! So glad you're back and look forward to hearing when you hit "onederland" !!

Will be waiting to hear how the interview goes . . .they'll love you, I know it! Stress is a bugger .. . sounds like you dealt with things as best you could. Wonderful weight loss - congratulations!

Sounds like you are off to a great start! Thanks for posting and keep up the good work.

Well, first kudos to you for taking on such a big dinner and making it such a success. Secondly, i'm glad you were not seriously hurt in the fall . .and perhaps it will be one of those funny family stories in future years ?? Thanks for sharing!

Sounds like a wonderful Thanksgiving . .and wonderful new traditions - congratulations!

I use yogurt . .. light yogurt, like the Boston Creme flavor . . it's like a treat , so it's not bad to take the meds. Good luck

Thank you for sharing - what a great story . .. with this new update to this site, I havent' figured out how to see your attached pictures, but I'm sure they're inspiring! Keep posting!!

I think you hit it with your first comment that weight loss is A goal, but living life is important too. This is for life, not just for the duration of "the diet" . . don't we all know that game? You're doing great - keep it up! And thanks for posting.
-
Thanks all - you're the best! :-)

Amen sister!!

Thanks! Very inspiring.

I think we all do. Although there are some days when I think - yeah, I've got this, no problem . . .but of course other days when, just like you, I think - can this keep going? Will I get where I'm wanting to go? And you are right, this site is a God send - you're all so helpful!! So let's hold each other up when we need it and rejoice with each other over every victory! Go us!!

Fabulous AND Fantastic! Good for you. I also had bloodwork done a few weeks ago and the ONLY thing out of line was that my uric acid was high. The doc's office said that can be caused by eating high amounts of protein . .. well, that makes sense, huh? So, they were not concerned about that. But my cholesterol and triglycerides which have been out of site for years were perfect! I've been off blood pressure and cholesterol meds for over a month now . ..and like you, I feel GREAT! Love it!!

You are going to be wearing that green shirt for a green dress soon, aren't you? You look fantastic - especially the big smile on your face! Congratulations and keep on going!!

I am so sorry. I guess we all know this sort of thing is a possibility, but of course we all hope something bad does not happen. Prayers for your surgery and that your band can be replaced.

Ditto to sandradee's comment. Shonette, my husband rides and he absolutely loves it when I ride with him. I've refused to ride this past year because of my weight - for one thing I did not have anything that fit (my leather coat, my summer riding coat - none of it) and didn't feel safe without the protection. But mostly it was just the weight - truly, I get your feelings. But if you've lost enough to feel comfortable at all to ride with him - DO IT! Don't wait until you're at your perfect size to do it, enjoy the time with him now - HE will love it. So, that's my opinion too . ..good luck!

Way to go, crystal keep up the good work and our prayers are with you and your hubby too. God bless!
