  1. Me too! In fact I am just growing my hair out from a cut I did not ask for . . . and it caused me to make a move after 7 years with a stylist who was not consistent with satisfaction. Now I'm with a little gal that I just love and she shows me something new to do with my hair everytime I see her . . . it's fun. So enjoy the new look and if you feel like you still want something different . . .it will grow for sure.

  2. Are you an accountant? ha ha . . .kidding .. I love numbers too and I love to see where I've been in relation to where I'm going . ..how exciting for you that you can track this so detailed. Congratulations and thanks for sharing . . your "iceberg" is melting away!

  3. I understand the frustrations and anger of an unsupporting spouse (I need to clarify that this was my ex-husband . . . I am now married to the most supportive, loving man ever) . . .take care of yourself . .. I'm glad you're back posting. . .we'll support you as best we can. Keep in touch.

  4. I know you know this, Boo, but the panic will not help (duh, right?) .. .try your best to relax as you begin to eat . .maybe even some relaxing music .. . I know from experience with acid reflux that the band does not like stress. Best wishes.

  5. The "tool" does work hrdiamond4. I can only suggest to keep working with your surgeron's office to get you to that place where 3/4 to 1 cup of food keeps you full. I saw my surgeon today and that is what he said . . I also need another fill because I'm not at that place yet. Keep doing what you're supposed to do and work the tool . .. it will get you where you want to go - I believe it! Best wishes.

  6. Hey Lap2Fab, I am almost at 3 months and feeling similar. I just saw my surgeon today and he recommends that I get my 2nd fill. I'm not starving between meals, but do get a little hungry. I'm not losing much weight, and that's ok, but I'm like you, i want to feel that restriction and the surgeron agreed. He said the "tool" works best when I will be able to eat my 3/4 to 1 cup of food and stay full on that . . .that is the goal. So that's why I decided to schedule another fill. Is that helpful?

  7. Well chriper, it sounds like the legacy of "cookie" has faded and a new legacy has begun . . .you are writing your own story day by day. I'm glad you are doing well and glad you are keeping us posted!

  8. Well put mmbell . . .you have a decison to make and the way you feel describes the way a lot of us felt before surgery. I can only share with you my own experience and it has been great. I have no regrets. I was banded 7/15/10 and have been losing consistenly. I have not had any problems except one bout of acid reflux which I believe was caused by stress at work over a week and 1/2 period of time. I've gone down 2 sizes in my clothes. My energy is so much higher than before when I had that "slug" feeling . . . I know what you are talking about. Weigh your options carefully and make the best decision for YOU. Best wishes and keep us posted!

  9. I remember that feeling. I'm a desk person also and also took off 2 weeks from work, but was tired when I went back. It does get better. Your strength and stamina will improve. Rest as you can and just keep doing what you're supposed to be doing! Best wishes.

  10. Mine has a name, but I've only told it to my husband . .. ok, friends, now I'm sharing with you. It is J. Geils . . he he. You would have to be as old as me to get it . . The J. Geils Band . . .they're a band from the sixties/seventies. Oh well . . it keeps me amused!!!
