Hey Lap2Fab, I am almost at 3 months and feeling similar. I just saw my surgeon today and he recommends that I get my 2nd fill. I'm not starving between meals, but do get a little hungry. I'm not losing much weight, and that's ok, but I'm like you, i want to feel that restriction and the surgeron agreed. He said the "tool" works best when I will be able to eat my 3/4 to 1 cup of food and stay full on that . . .that is the goal. So that's why I decided to schedule another fill. Is that helpful?

Well put mmbell . . .you have a decison to make and the way you feel describes the way a lot of us felt before surgery. I can only share with you my own experience and it has been great. I have no regrets. I was banded 7/15/10 and have been losing consistenly. I have not had any problems except one bout of acid reflux which I believe was caused by stress at work over a week and 1/2 period of time. I've gone down 2 sizes in my clothes. My energy is so much higher than before when I had that "slug" feeling . . . I know what you are talking about. Weigh your options carefully and make the best decision for YOU. Best wishes and keep us posted! -
I remember that feeling. I'm a desk person also and also took off 2 weeks from work, but was tired when I went back. It does get better. Your strength and stamina will improve. Rest as you can and just keep doing what you're supposed to be doing! Best wishes.

Mine has a name, but I've only told it to my husband . .. ok, friends, now I'm sharing with you. It is J. Geils . . he he. You would have to be as old as me to get it . . The J. Geils Band . . .they're a band from the sixties/seventies. Oh well . . it keeps me amused!!!

WOW, what a journey you have had / are having. Thanks for posting, it's very helpful for those of us "following in your footsteps". It is interesting how our relationship with food changes. And food will always be a part of our life, so we better learn how to work, play and live with food, huh? Best wishes and prayers for continued success!

I had a lot of acid before my band, then nothing after the band until I also had a bout of it. I know it was releated to stress at work . . .are you more stressed right now? If so, try - really try to find some peace time. For me, once that stressful week and 1/2 ended, I have had no more acid problems. Best wishes.

I have always love to peruse cookbooks and cooking shows . .. I still do! And yes, I am cooking more too. Amazing. -
Size 30 or 32 down to 26? That is fantastic. I think we have to take the accomplishments as they come and enjoy each one. You are doing well - please don't be discouraged. But it is a good idea to talk to your doc if you have questions. Keep up the good work.

My son called me earlier in the week and told me of the chicken dish he had just made and how good it was. It sounded good, so today I picked up the ingredients and I am enjoying it now as I browse the recent posts. Here it is if anyone would like it: Filet a chicken breast (split it down the middle), lay it flat and pound it to flatten. Cut up whatever veggies you would like to stuff in the chicken - I used cabbage, green pepper, onion, garlic and mushrooms and I squeezed a little lime juice on too along with salt and pepper. Stuff some in the chicken breast and close it. Pre heat a fry pan sprayed with cooking spray. Put the breast in the pan and cover with a lid. Cook 15 minutes and flip (medium heat). Cook another 15 minutes, but in the last 7 minutes, put more veggies in the pan - and I added som spinach at the last couple of minutes too. So cook 1/2 hour all together(I checked w/ instant read thermometer to ensure it was up to temp). The chicken is juicy and delicious (I'm eating 1/2 today and saving 1/2). It's wonderful to learn from our kids! Have a great weekend everyone.

Thanks again for posting Blondi, I'm sure it helps to process all that is happening with you AND it IS helpful for all of us too. It is a scary thing to know that something like this can happen so quickly. I AM praying that this is reversible or that your doc has some solution for you. You know you have the support of your buddies here . . .keep the faith.
