Everyone's comments are right on the money . .. I would only add that remember this is a life long journey and I've said over and over, I don't care how slowly it comes off, as long as it STAYS off . .. . that's the difference, in the end you will win!
-
It IS easty to forget to be grateful . . . thanks for the reminder. God is good all the time!

I am at about the same time frame as you are, polly, and experiencing the same thing. I was banded 7/15/10 and had been losing 1 pound a day - I knew it couldn't last, but mmmm it was nice. Now I've been at the same weight for 3 days and I'm eating the same and walking the same or more . .. oh well. My motto through all of this has been that I don't care how slowly the weight comes off, I just want it to stay off! Keep up the good work - 25 pounds is great!

I'm glad you're better today. Keep up the good work.

Sounds like you are doing everything right southern . . .and my motto through all of this has always been, I don't care how slowly it comes off . . that's ok . . I just want it to stay off - that's my main goal. This is a different journey than any "diet" we ever took on. Hang in there!

I'm soo glad you are ok, Debra G. And thanks so much for the extra insight, anglov. All good information to have.

Congratulations! You will do fine! Does your doctor's office have a dietician who can help guide you? My doctor had me use sugar free Carnation Instant Breakfast for the pre-op diet. But there was more to it and I had a whole sheet to follow. You have to get enough protein in everyday, etc. Good luck! Also, my dietician recommended (and I LOVE), "nectar" which is found on the website "mybariatricpantry.com"

I just checked out your blog Angie, love the story of the black coloring wrap and good for you! My husband told me that my hand felt smaller in his . . .. awww, I melted! You are right, little victories!

I celebrate your 20 pounds with you - yeahh! Your enthusiam is infectious. I'll be anxious to hear how your fill goes. I share the nervousness of having something get stuck or throwing up - everything I've read says both are pretty painful. But if we're cautious, maybe we can avoid it and if not, we will survive. Keep up the good work, I'm following right behind you and you're blazing a terriffic trail for me to follow!

You are in my prayers. Update us when you can. I understand the nerves ( I was just banded 7/15/10). Reading the posts on this site helped me feel prepared, so when I felt the gas pain, or when doctors or nurses said something, I at least had an idea of what was going on. And yes, God IS in control. My surgeon was a Christian, and I had so many people praying during surgery, I know that had an impact! Blessings to you.

You are so open and honest and I appreciate you sharing your story. Sandra is right, we are there for each other . ..today me for you . .. tomorrow Sandra for me . . .the next day ???, isn't it wonderful to have this support. Hope you can feel all of the positive thoughts coming your way tonight.

The biopsies were "probably" polyps. .. I am of the understanding that a lot of people have polyps . .. they biopsy them to make sure no cancer. I had a scope before my surgery as well (7/15/10) and had biopsies too .. . no problems at all. I hope you have good news soon.

I'm a newbie, TK, so sorry but I don't even know what "PB'd" means . .. in any case, it sounds like you have your head screwed on straight and are ready to begin anew - good for you and best wishes.

Happy and Sad . . . well put!

Good for you! This site is a God send, isn't it?

Welcome! I was banded July 15, so am exploring all of this as well. This site is so helpful. Best wishes for your journey!
-
Also, be sure you are drinking enough water . .. that may help too. Good thoughts are with you.

From my appointment with the pre op psych visit, they talked about this . . . pretty normal I think. Glad you are doing what you're doing - keeping the fluids going, working out. Your body is changing and your head just has to catch up, ya think?
-
OK, thanks everyone . . . Kathleen, sorry you still have discomfort at 6 weeks, but at least lets me know I'm not the only one. I am taking it as it comes . .
-
OK, so it's not horrible pain, but I still have to catch my breath on occassion. I have significant pain at my port site. It is still swollen. Is this how it was for most of you? I saw the surgeon on Wednesday and he said everything looked fine. I'm still using liquid Tylenol twice a day on average and last night slept in a chair 'cuz I just couldn't get comfortable in bed. Everything else is going great . .. I'm eating what I'm supposed to, I'm walking every day, I'm losing weight even. Just wondering when I'll be pain free ?
-
Sooo gald you are doing better . . .and good that you're up and moving, but please take it easy cleaning that house . . no lifting! Take care and be well.

For sure tc . . .you'll do fine!
