I am about to turn 29 years old this year, and I have come to realize the older I get the harder it is to lose weight.  My whole life I have been the chunky kid.  In my teenage and adult years I have never been smaller then a size 14.  Except for one time in my life I made it to a size 8, and that only happended because I had my mouth swollen shut for almost 3 weeks and was on a liquid diet (not by choice, I was in a accident).  After only a 8 very short months the weight started to come back.  I did everything diet exercise.  Walked the boardwalk everyday for 2 hours.  I did all fish and chicken diets, only soups, and fruit, jenny weight watchers, slim fast.... you name and I have tried it. So now here I am seriously considering the lap band.  I no longer want to be fat.  Not only for vanity, but for my overall health.  I have been diagnosed with PCOS (a girlie thing)... it can cause me to become diabetic which is a disease that runs wild on both sides of my family, and it also creates issues with trying to loose weight.  I no longer want to hear " you are so pretty if you lost some weight......" I turn to the experienced individuals on this site for some information, and support.  to the ones in my shoes debating on whether to go through with this or not... let's support one another on this crusade to be as healthy as we can possibly be.
