    feeling down-pictures

Chilo this post could have been by me OMG! I am with you. I have just been lazy and I know if I put in a tiny bit of effort I would continue to lose and tone those last 15 pounds I want. I also was thinking same thoughts about taking my sleeve for granted and this gift I was given. I am so scared that since I am not motivated now that I will eventually gain back to where I was. It is almost scarier when you start at a lower BMI because you realize how quickly you could be right back where you started. Please keep your chin and and I will do the same. Get moving and try to watch those meals. You have done so great and I have enjoyed watching your progress and benefited from all the struggles you have shared. BIG hugs girl.

  5. Ahh thanks guys, it is so good to hear that from everyone. Chilo how has your progress been? And you Sleeve 4 me are doing great, I saw your shorts pictures and I too have been wearing some shorts again for the first time in years! I have been drinking soda but I really don't drink much. I may finish half a can a day. I drink mostly tea and Water. WOW I am looking at everyone who posted above and your numbers. It is still amazing to me to see the success even though I have lived it. Such inspiration for sure. Keep it up everyone!

OMG Irene I havent been around in forever and you have totally rocked the crap out of your sleeve. YOU LOOK amazing and you have toned up so nicely. WAY TO GO!
  7. WOW, just found out you were preggers. Congrats I know you were really trying. YAYAY

  8. You look positively lovely!
  9. Hi ladies I came across this virtual weight loss simulator totally by accident it also has where you can try on different shapes of clothing to find what might be a flattering cut for you. Here is a link! Have fun. http://www.mvm.com/cs/
  10. I went for it and got a bit of botox between my eyebrows about three weeks ago and I freaking love it. It sort of gave me a tiny eyebrow lift, it cost me only $9/unit for a total of $108 bucks and was sooooo worth it. I look refreshed and the little furrow lines I had creeping in have relaxed and dissipated. I also had dermabrasion and an IPL (laser treatment) also known as a photo facial done to my skin and it is currently lightly flaking off the top layer of skin. It is not red or raw it just looks like I am maybe peeling from a slight sunburn (without the redness) and the skin underneath is revealing to be soft, with smaller pores and really even skin tone. Next appt is for a revision I need on my tummy tuck and some abdominal lipo I am going to combine with that revision. I guess it is the year of taking care of me? I think this might be getting addictive.

    I LOVE MY BOTOX

Chilo I am so happy for you and your appt to get the TT. It is going to rock your world. Is the price in Paraguay better then your neck of the woods? I have been just out living life I guess. I feel like I don't hide around the house now that I am at a weight I feel comfortable at. I start back to work tomorrow, I have been off for over a year and I think it will actually be just the distraction I need to keep me away from extra goodies. NJMOM- I live in central California smack in the middle of Bakersfield and Fresno, so the middle of NOWHERE hehe. The prices are getting really competitive with the doctors on botox. I like that healthy competition hehe. Becca-Thank you so much for the cheer, it is hard as a mom sometimes to spend that money on luxury things especially when I paid cash for a TT then cash for the VSG and now the little extras but I guess since it isn't breaking the bank and my kids are well taken care of I shouldn't feel to bad about it.

  13. Been a long time. Hi everyone.

  14. Yes, it is and congrats. I bet you are walking on air.

    Body Sculpting or No?

I think that is a very reasonable price for a full TT. I had one almost 4 years ago when I was heavier and though I had a great result I wish I had done the surgery then the TT. I need to have a revision to the sides of my TT due to a common occurrence called "dog ears" where the side each incision sort of pooches out so I am going for a consult next month to have those corrected and have my tummy lipo'd with it. I was waiting this long to have them fixed just for the fact that I knew I wanted to lose more weight at that time and I figured I could do the lipo and the revision at the same time. So I should have those done within the next eight weeks. YAY me. I say go for the TT it is a total shape changing surgery. Clothing just fits so well after and they should tighten those tummy muscles and if you have had children that is especially helpful. My tummy is solid as a rock! good luck

    Back to square one

Chilo I am with you, I havent necessarily fallen off the wagon or anything I too have just not been tracking or following the eating standard. I have maintained my weight loss but I know I want to lose at least 15-20 more pounds and it is so within my reach. I just gotta get back to the basics. Like Will said I don't want to have wasted my hard earned cash only to put this weight back on one pound at a time because I wasn't paying attention to the "RULES". I am starting back to work full time next week and actually think it will help me with my loss. I tend to throw myself into work and forget about breaks and eating so missing a few extra calories here and there should be helpful.
  17. I am late to this party also but we had surgery around same time and started at same beginning weight. I am so inspired by your success you should feel so proud. You have totally transformed your body, it is freaking amazing. GOOD JOB!
  18. I was curious if it is possible to have the procedure done in the USA at a teaching hospital. As a private pay only person (my group insurance does not cover plus I am only BMI 31) I wondered if they offered it here in the USA at a bariatric teaching school. Those doctors are well supervised and you get two doctors for the price of one

    What could have triggered this

You know Globetrotter I dont think I have ever read exactly how much weight you have lost total since surgery. I only seem to catch when you have stalled or gained. How is weight loss overall?
  20. I am so glad you didn't get held up on having the sleeve. I remember how long your journey took and finally the insurance company started covering the sleeve and you got your approval so that would have stank! Welcome to the losers bench and keep us posted.
  21. Ok, I held steady over the holiday season. I weighed myself a couple days after Christmas and I had not gained a single pound (that felt like a victory itself). I fell off the exercise wagon but I have stayed very active and busy. Then I decided to weigh last friday just to see where I was and I have lost 4 more pounds since Christmas without doing a dang thing other then not having the access to the holiday goodies. I weighed again today to make sure it wasn't some sort of fluke and nope I weighed 4 pounds less then Christmas. I went to my hubby and asked him how the heck he thought that happened. He looked at me like I was retarded and said "uhh you don't eat very much"? Then he proceeded to ask me what I ate the day before and when I started going over the last 3 or 4 days I realized he is right. I mean I don't know when my head hunger finally slowed down. It must have been sometime through the holidays when I just stopped thinking about food a ton. I remember posting something about head hunger and thinking of taking an appetite suppressant then here it is a month or 6 weeks later and I realize I may get a craving for something but I just don't eat that much. It is amazing, it is simple but amazing. I have a hard time wrapping my head around it. I knew that was why I was having the surgery but I think it took a little longer for me to adjust physically and mentally to it all. So enough rambling. I just was in awe of my sleeve and my results. It is awesome to think I can spend the rest of my life eating like I do, feeling satisfied and maintaining a healthy body. Hopefully this motivates someone, hell it has motivated me.
  22. Of course they don't get all of that. The negotiated rates are much lower and also depend on the usual and customary amounts. What I think we all find so surprising is that if she had negotiated a self pay price and several people here have paid self pay in the United States.... it would have been 15k-25k.

    Catholic Sleevers Please!

Thank you for clarifying all that! I guess I never really knew the specifics of the birth control guidelines of Catholics. I am glad that your doctor advised you of the need to not get pregnant so you can enjoy your hubby post op with a clear religious conscience. BZ two thumbs up wink wink
  24. I used Dr. Liza Maria Pompa in August she is at LIMARP.COM. Great facility and staff!
