I am wearing mine for the first time today so I have no success story as of yet...when I get one, I will gladly share!!! I am very excited and motivated though if that helps at all.

Thanks Losing..I am going to check them out. Cindylu-what Stop and Shops have you seen them in. I know I saw the chocolate flavors but have not seen the caramel latte. Just curious. I am in the Boston/Quincy area. -
Couch to 5K - Week of 28 October ? 03 November

losing-if you come to boston, let me know!!!! Woohoo..what a great goal. I should do it with you. The thought of it horrifies me. How do you like those caramel latte shakes? That sounds like a flavor I would like. Do they have much of an aftertaste? whosya-it must be a pain in the ass to have all those Snacks around. That would make me bonkers on my "weak" days. The eggs looked good though. I did week one/day 2. Feels good. I also got my bodybugg today so it was fun to record my calorie burn. I hope the combination of the two along with watching my intake will really kickstart my loss.... -
Oh btw, VA-have fun at the vineyard..sounds divine. I was jogging in the cemetery today and really digging the gorgeous foliage. Don't get too tipsy..haha

Boo-I love your tag line about finding your treasure. fantastic! Congrats on the NSV. Love to hear all about it. I bet it feels great. Okay, so I weighed my younger daughters candy bag out of curiosity and it weighs 6 pounds. I thought it was heavier than that, but still, 6 pounds of freaking candy. My older daughter already hid her bag because he dad is a major junkie for candy. She knows he will plow through it in days (and maintain is svelte 175lb frame...arrrghhh!!!). I am not hearing the candy call to me yet. I hope it keeps up. I just don't want it (wtf..that is so unlike me). Think of it this way girls...for most of us, now thru New Year's would have been a free for all eating wise. Thanks to the bands, the worst case may be a maintenance or small gain if we are not careful. Of course, the goal should be to try to be careful and still lose over the holidays. Just a different perspective for you. Nat-sorry to hear about the job crap. It is equally frustrating because I know that job eats up so much of your life. At least your sweet dad was there to remind you how great you are (and how young you look!). Keep us posted. Steph-enjoy the couch to 5k on the "dreadmill" (love that). Lucky for you to not have any candy in the house. Sweet-you will be pleased to know I just completed week 1/day 2 of couch to 5K. Feeling good. Especially since my bugg has told me that so far today I have burned 1255 calories. I have only eaten 150 so far. yippee. We'll see if I can figure this thing out. Okay..I seriously need to get some stuff done before school tonight. I will check back later if I can.

YAY..my bodybugg came this morning. I am still trying to figure it all out. I put it on and went out for my run. Amazing!!!! It is very motivating. I sure as hell hope this helps because I have been 211 for weeks!!!! Anyway, I wanted to say congrats to Suzie for the great loss. What do you think it is...is the bugg making you want to watch what you are eating and workout more? Is that a really stupid question? haha. I am just curious why you think you are suddenly having such success. As far as those worried about hubby finding out...I have to laugh because I just hid all traces of the packing slip/box etc. I will probably lie if asked what I spent on it. hehehehe

OMG...I just got my bodybugg. I am so freaking excited. I will be back to read and talk more when I figure this thing out. I was just reading the boards when the doorbell rang. I am so flipping excited (can you tell)..be back later.

(nanavin))) Good luck on the hip surgery. If we manage to get together, we will toast to you. I hope all is well. DEZ!!! Congrats on the great news. I am praying for your little bundle. Keep us posted. Wonderful to hear. Sherry-that is so sweet of you to offer up your home. It would be great. I would feel much more comfortable meeting like that since in Braintree I was so afraid I would run into someone. I am a closet bandster! The only time right now that would not work is Veteran's day since I will be in Vegas (woohoo). Is anyone available Thanksgiving weekend? I think we just need to pick a date and plan it...at least maybe some people can successfully get together. I love making party food, and I promise to pick band friendly things.

Born and raised Boston girl.

LMAO... Thanks girls for all the strip club insight! Whoda thunk I would be asking all of you that, huh? Truth be told, and don't think I am pervy, but I would rather see the woman than see a bunch of gyrating nude men..no offense to the fellas, but guys that dance like that give me the creepies. I would be horrified. The clubs in Vegas are a much higher than some of the seedier clubs in other areas. We are planning to go to a classy joint. It will be a topless place. I am not interested in a fully nude place...I would be afraid of communicable things...hahaha. At any rate, it is an experience. Good or bad I figure we will give it a shot. It is all part of my anti mom, anti-aging brigade that I plan to be on in Vegas. It is sin city after all. At least I am not asking you all to point me in the direction of the hot swingers clubs..hahahaha BTW Boo-you never cease to amaze me. Maybe you could teach a pole dance or two. Sweethot-after your enthusiasm, I decided to jump back into the couch to 5k program. I did this back in January but stopped jogging over the summer. I decided to start from the beginning so as not to burn out too fast. I started today, so we can keep each other going although I will be a bit behind you. Thanks B-man for the podcast info. I used it today and found it really helpful. It was great to not have to look at my watch and time myself running, but rather have someone tell me to speed up and slow down. Big help...see despite your feeling down, you are still there to lend us a hand. Love ya for it girl. Good things will come your way. Transformer-love the strip dance! LOL. Good luck at your weigh in. I hope everything is fine. Is school done? That should alleviate a lot of stress. Claud- I am glad to hear you are alright. I am sending good thoughts to you and keeping my fingers crossed for the Chicago job.

Thanks for the reassurance. I emailed the mystore@24hourfitness.com two times and both times it got kicked back to me undeliverable. ARGH! Did you email them at a different address? Did the order status ever change on the website? It has been 6 or so days of "pending". I am trying no to sweat it since I know you ran into the same issue.

Wow babygrl-were you on a plateau before the bodybugg or were you losing consistently? I am hoping this will kickstart my loss again! Way to go on the loss.

Couch to 5K - Week of 28 October ? 03 November
Kaydotrn replied to losingjusme's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Thanks to my girl Sweethot (hi) I decided to go at this again. I had done this program last January and made it to running 25 minutes a pop and then fell off the wagon. I have consistently exercised but running hasn't happened in ages. I ran recently about 10 minutes and then was wiped. I decided I should get back to basics and start from scratch so I don't burn out. I started today. I would prefer to run m/w/f but I had the urge to start now and didn't want to put it off to next week. I will rework the days next week. I ran outside today and did fine. I used the podcast and that really helped immensely as I didn't have to watch the time. It is nice to have someone tell you to run and walk and also remind me that I am doing a good job! Great photos in here..the Lake picture is gorgeous and the borwnie photo is pretty sweet too(hehe). -
You can do it Cazulay! Keep us posted. I am so happy for you!

::::::Waving excitedly::::::: I want to come to Lawanda's Onderland party. Maybe we can eat mini portioned appetizers and dance the calories away. Sounds fun!!!!
-
I have no info about the show as I don't watch it often anymore. I had to agree though, that doctor is a freak. I wonder if she feels she can never live up to his expectations of beautiful. He is one weird dude...
-
I know Diane! I DVR the show as well and always forward thru the commercials and then know that I need to forward a bit when the show is back on because it is a recap from the last bit before the break. Do they think our attn spans are that short? As if I forgot what happened 3 minutes ago?? Weird editing! Whatever..I still love the show and love watching the day after with my fast forward capabilities. I haven't attached to any of the cast on this season yet. Has anyone else? I don't know why. I actually really liked Phil(?) who was sent home. Maybe as the teams whittle down it will get more personal. I am not rooting for one in particular yet.

Anyone interested in purchasing a Bodybug?
Kaydotrn replied to juliegeraci's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I too paid 229.20 using at 24hourfitness using the current promo and a coupon code of blc24 I think....the code is on the other bodybug thread. That also includes free shipping and 3 months of the membership. -
Yay Sherry...I am so excited you are getting it today. My order from the last week still says pending. The money has been deducted from my account but I have not received any tracking info yet. I think others ran into that problem. Can you tell me about how long from ordering until you received your bug. I am SOOOO impatient! I want it now. Sherry-btw-how are you doing with your new fill?
-
LOL Babygrl! I can totally relate. I too thought if I could just be a 16 or a 14 I would be thrilled. Nope...I am happy to be in a comfortable 16, but no where near at my goal! I think maybe I just didn't believe I could be a 16 or a 14 again. After all my previous diet attempts! But now I know we can do it!!! And the big bones thing too...very true. 10.5 pounds to onederland. I want it NOW. I just get to a certain weight and seem to fluctuate there for a month or so. I was at 220 for about 3 months, now I have been around 210 for about 3 weeks. I am afraid I will be stuck here for a while. I am hoping something kicks in. That being said, this time of year in the past I would have gained from now until New Years so at least I am going in the right direction!!!!
-
BTW Booboo-what is the picture that is your avatar? Did you do something with you hair? IT is so small I cannot see it, but curious....
-
B-man-you are probably emotionally tired. I get that way too. I am there now. Total school burnout and stress and even when I get 8 hours of sleep lately, I feel like I could get back under the covers and go for a few more. Hate it! It will get better. Good for you on the walk. Let me know what you think about the bean. I have seen the infommercials. Freaky looking little thing. Mrs Lance-I too fluctuate. Don't sweat it. Just try to as BooBoo told me recently "get back to basics". Track for a few days and watch your portions...make wise choices. You will be back in no time. You are doing great. Nikki-your posts make me giggle. I love your colloquialisms. My husbands family is all from Ireland and some of your phrases remind me of theirs. I love it. As far as my weight, it is coming off all over but I too have a much thinner face and neck. I think overall I am pretty proportioned. Yup, tummy is a roll of jelly and I have always had a booty (it is much smaller now though). My thighs have actually become much slimmer. I guess I would peg my tummy as my problem area. SOmetimes I go in the mirror in my skivvies and actually shift my tummy over (while looking from the side view) and I see what I could look like if it were gone. The fact that I can actually move the flab indicates this will probably be an issue for a plastic surgeon...bummer. But we will see. Only time and more weightloss will tell. Thanks girls for the kind words. I am frustrated because I am eating so little but the scale is not really moving. I am just a slow loser. I wish my darn bodybugg would get here. UGH. I ma dying to see if that gives me a kickstart. I will say, I have not been at the gym yet this week. I am just tired and don't want to go...shame on me. Maybe I will go later this morning. I am closing in on a huge exam and that is stressing me out too. Overall, life is good (but it would be better if I could get my dang weight below 200...hehehe). I am going to Vegas in just over a week. I am so freaking excited. I have not been on a plane since 2000. Yup, all my vacations have been around New England. So this is a really big deal...and I am leaving the kids for 4 days. Woohooo..I am all pumped to NOT be a mommy out there. Watch out. DH actually wants us to go to a strip club. Ha! He is not a strip club kind of guy (has only been to one at a bachelor party) but thinks it would be fun if we both went. Wacky woman I am thinks if I have a few pre-club cocktails, it just may be a riot. We'll see. Have any of you ever done that????
-
Wow, sounds like a tough night. I would not judge you for eating a snickers bar so don't sweat that. Obviously, we all know it is not the best food choice, but I do believe anything in moderation. The only thing I would take from this is to not eat a snickers bar again. Or if you did, eat it in very small bites and very slowly. It is not worth waking up to vomiting. I am sorry you had such a lousy night! But I am glad you are okay.

Good morning, Stayed up way too late last night watching the Sox. I went outside after they won and all you could hear were people going nuts. There are a few pubs in my little Boston neighborhood right at the end of my street. It was wild. Fun to hear though. The kids got to wear Red Sox shirts over their school uniforms today so they were really excited (more about the clothes than about the baseball). Monday morning weigh-in: 275/211/157 +1lbs from last week..UGH! Whatever. I just have to keep plugging along. Thanks for all of your band advice. I am going to stick this out the next week and see if things loosen up a bit. I just miss eating my salads and healthy foods. I am not digging the acidy feeling either. I think I will try some Zantac. It doesn't help that I have a MAJOR toothache that needs to be checked out. I just know it will cost a fortune. Always does...grrrrr. Steph-sounds like a fun time with DD. Great! I wouldn't sweat the 4lbs. I am sure it will be gone in the next day or two. Especially if Chinese food was involved. All that sodium! Drink your water and it will flow off. Maurdan-nice to see you. What is new? How are you doing with your band? VA-sorry to hear that you think your interest may be unrequited. Use him for practice. ha. Practice your flirting on him and see what happens. Maybe he has some nice male friends...don't rule anything out. Sounds like you had fun anyway. B-man-glad to see you. I know you are in a rut and I KNOW you will get through it. We are here even if you want to vent. It sucks and I am sorry you are going through some crap. Be as quiet as you need to be, but let us know you are here and okay. Jill-exciting NSV!!!! I am so excited for you. I have a goal to weigh less than DH. He has always been smaller than I am. I think a few months ago he weighed about 189 and I was thinking..great, I can finally catch up to him. Then the bastard weighed himself the other day and he was down to 173. Without freaking trying!!! I want to clobber him. Enjoy being the smallest your hubby has seen you. It must feel great! Boo-sorry about the PS. You are looking fantastic so try to enjoy all you have accomplished. It is frustrating though when you work so hard and have done all you can and just need some tweeks to be perfect! Give it some time, maybe a cash windfall will come your way! :boink: Transformer-keep us posted on the elliptical. Sounds great! Nikki-how is baby boy today? Thinking of you.... I have to run girls. Talk soon.

Hey My lovelies... I need some advice. So I got my fill a few weeks ago. I went from 1.4cc to 1.8cc. I cannot believe the difference in restriction. I went from eating a good amount, to barely eating much at all. I find my meal stays with me for hours after I eat, and my portions are pretty small. I know that is a good thing but here is the problem. For about 2 weeks I have had some recurring acid issues which I have not had before. It is not as severe as heartburn..not really bad, but annoying. I have tried not eating after 7pm to see if that helps, but it is still there. The other thing is, I cannot eat much at all. My nutritionist wants me at around 1200 calories. I think I am averaging about 800. I feel like I am not getting in enough of the good food. I have not had as much veggies and protein and I tend to mush up my food. The kicker is, I am two pounds heavier today than I was last week...WTF??? Part of me thinks I just have to let this ride for a few weeks and let it all work out. Do any of you have experience with loosening up after a couple weeks? I don't want to have to go back into the MD until my appt in December. And sad as it sounds, I could deal with having to take the occasional TUMS and not eating much if it meant the weight was coming off, but now I gained? ARGH! Any advice would be appreciated.
