Ok - that was my fault I have my screen resolution set to high (or low) if I change it I can see you but I have to wear my glasses so I looked and then changed it back. Looking good! We're proud of you girlfriend!

What about TOM - I am always WAY tighter then. I can never eat in the morning either, no way could I do oatmeal but if you are just trying to maintain maybe you better get in there and get some taken out. Its a shame its such a drive for you. I've only lost about 7-8 lbs since my last fill and I'm already loosened up and feeling hungry faster. Its crazy how these things affect each of us differently.
  5. I've had 7 fills and my last one took me to 8cc's. I'm too tight and the only reason I havent' been in to get a little out is bc I'm having a tt on May 1st and will be getting a complete unfill on April 30th. When I go back in I plan on having him put in 7.5 - I think that will be pretty close to my sweetspot. I'm close enough to goal and feeling good about myself that maintaining is more important to me then the losing.

Sweethot - so good to hear from you - dont' be gone so long, we miss you! I miss all of you when you dont' check in. Speaking of which - BMAN - CLAUDIA - VA - where are you girls!?? I got an email from our own dear Nat - she's stressed. Work is killing her and making her stress eat - she said to tell you all hi. She also promised to try to check in but since she can't get on at work anymore its hard to check in at night. So I'm keeping our thread alive hoping you all start posting again. Love ya girlfriends!

Karri - I think I would opt for #1 - I have found that I usually pb bc I havent' chewed my food properly or I have eaten too fast. I find it hard to believe that your band would suddenly tighten up, although you didnt' say when you had your last fill. But thats just my opinion and you know your body better then anyone, so do what you think is best.

yes you are! You inspire all of us to do better. I agree with everything you said. The whole tracking thing is the way to get control. Just something about putting it down and being honest helps get you back on track. And of course exercise - calories in vs calories out - thats the plan for any weight loss.

Mommi-Hammi - I fear that I'll go through that too. I am getting unfilled the day before my surgery and already scheduled a refill for a week after surgery - I have a little over 2 weeks until surgery and I've already been dreaming of what I'll eat during my "unfill" - slap me now!!! Tonight my dd had a track meet, on the way home we stopped, I got a salad (which I havent' eaten yet) dd ate a hotdog and ff's, dh had a monster burger and o-rings - in my head I'm thinking its been HOW long since I ate a greasy chili dog and FRIES! Then I'm thinking when I get my unfill I'm going to drink a coke! I'm freaking mental! is it any wonder I was fat? All that said ... all I have to say is I feel for ya Sista!!!!
  12. Thanks for the reply Neal. My goal is to waterski, I'm hoping if I have my tt May 1st that by the end of summer I'll be able to get up. I haven't skiied in 30 years, I know it takes alot of arm and leg strength but I'm afraid the tummy might feel it too.

    Liposuction around port

I'm not getting lipo, my ps said that the fat up there is inner fat and he won't be able to lipo it. But then he said if he does need to lipo its not a big deal, he said its just a matter of rolling the machine into the room. My plastic surgeon hasnt' done a band patient yet either. I was VERY concerned about it and he said he would be calling my band dr to discuss things with him. My band dr said the port isn't going to be a problem as long as he just leaves it alone, he said its attached snuggly to the muscle wall and unless he would cut some stitches he's not going to bother it. My band dr also doesnt' think I need my port revised. He said the revised port is actually only about 1/4 inch different anyway.

    newbie from wisconsin

Julie - I'm not from Wisc. but I was born and raised in Grand Rapids Minnesota. I left there after I got married and we settled in PA but we go up to Minn alot and Wisc is our LONG state, we go right up through the middle. My cousin had her band done in Duluth. I dont' think she has done real well bc she hasn't kept up on the fills. VERY important to get those adjustments! good luck and welcome to the forties!

    Steady Losers 4ever!

Whats up girlfriends? Busy weekend? I didnt' do a whole lot, dh had to work out of town and night shift Saturday so he left around noon and didnt' get home until the next morning. He slept until noon, and was back to bed at 6 - he's too old for this stuff. I went to the movie, the Other Boylen Girl, Scarlett J and Natalie P - it was good but I had read the book so it wasnt' nearly as good as the book. THats the extent of my wild life. I'm getting a little freaked about my tt. Not about the surgery but about the timing. I wake up at night thinking of all the things that I need to take care of (most of it work related). I don't know if I told you all this since I've been hanging around the Plastics thread, but my youngest daughter who is a senior in high school has her prom on the Saturday after my surgery, which is on Thursday. :smile2: I don't even know if I'll be out of the hospital, dr said to plan on being in 3 days. So she has to go get her hair done alone, and then my daughter in law is coming over when she gets off work to help her get in her dress. It just sucks! I told her if I'm still in the hospital they need to come up to see me. Then the next day, Sunday, she has her athletic banquet. Of course they honor all the seniors. Hopefully I'll be out by then and can be there for her. A week after I have the surgery she has senior night at track, thats when the parents walk out on the field with the seniors and do the little kiss and a flower thing. UGH! I just feel so out of control over this stuff. I know I'm probably making it into more then it is, but thats me, stress over my kids. The good news is that my oldest daughter, is very happy and seeing a new guy. So thats a load off my mind, after her break up with the other one she was so depressed and I was worried about her. Oh the joys of motherhood. Ok so again on the bright side - I am still totally excited about being a gramma!

Was anyone banded in December of '06?

Hi everyone! I havent' been on the Dec thread in AGES! Still hanging with the steadies and forties and now the plastic surgery forum. I've had my plateau's and my losing months, one thing I've learned is I need to get a fill if I'm plateau-ing for more then a month or 2. I'm due for a full tummy tuck on May 1st - insurance is paying 100% - and I'm so happy. The band is the best decision I've ever made. Take care!
  18. The before pics always make me shudder but I'm glad I have them to compare myself to. Sometimes when I'm feeling like I'm not a good loser I pull one up and say oh yeah you are! LJM - you look sooooooo good and just so happy in all your pics, do you think its from the mons lift?:smile2:
  19. Looking good Neal - looks like you're healing fast. I see its been 2 months now, do you feel back to normal? I mean as far as stretching and exercising, stuff like that?
  20. I started taking a C and other then that I've been taking my normal ones. I take childrens chewables, one with iron (gross) and 2 gummies, and then I take my calcium chewy candies (yummy) - I figured it wouldnt' hurt to take a vit.C - my dh swears by his C, so he was all for me taking them. I'll call on Monday to see if they want me to do anything different. You'd think they would've told me by now since I have all the pre-op test papers and I won't be going back to see him now, just the day of surgery. I haven't lost anymore weight ... I guess I must not be working at it hard enough. In church today one of my friends said "you look so good" I said thanks and she said "you look so healthy, some people just lose too much and don't look good, but you look so good" - that was so nice to hear. I really think I'm ok with where I am with my wieght and size. Like I told dh, I know I'm not thin, but I also know I'm not fat anymore and I actually feel like I look good. I feel kinda bad that I'm not getting the last 10 lbs off that I wanted to before tt but I really feel good and healthy. I'm still feeling bummed that I might not make it to my dd's senior athletic banquet, just stinks! I'm just going to pray for a speedy recovery. Just enough to get me into a nice pair of slacks and sit me in a corner.
  21. Your in my prayers Fran - and now you got me scared! :smile2:

    Had PS apt today!

Findingme - How exciting for you! I hope your insurance will cover it. I can't believe how far you all have to go to get a fill or unfill. My band dr is about 20 minutes away. But still it was him who wants me unfilled, he said he doesn't want to risk throwing up from the anethesia. I kinda thought it was best too since I've heard how everyone gets so tight after surgery. I'm just so fortunate that I could schedule my unfill for the day before surgery and my refill a week after.
  24. DH does have to go out of town for work. It might just be a couple weeks but it could be longer. I know he'll take my surgery day off and then the next day he has a mandatory class. I'm ok with that, I most likely will just want to nap all day anyway.
