Hey all.. Im On my optifast stage for 3 weeks and im wondering if i should be on multivitamins as i know optifast has every thing you need and i dont wanna over do it... thanks Kaylene

i start optifast on friday 28th september.. i get banded on the 19th of october.. i only have to do it for 3 weeks but have hurd some have been asked to do it longer..

my dr wants me to have optifast for 3 weeks before the op... im realy excited not realy nervous.. im trying my hardest to cut out alot of the bad foods but i keep saying just 1 more time cant eat it after the band anyhow and i know this is bad.. i recon i have put on weight since my last dr check up so im not happy with that... anyhow hope all goes well and ill catch up on here somewhere thanks for the reply

i am self paying now after all the wait.. have been told 12 months still to wait that is why im self paying... i have been booked in for the 19th of october... atleast if i pay for it i know ill be done.

i have now decided to self pay for my band so i can stop waiting for my number to come on Dr.N's list of horror...im booked in for the 19th of october

yes its williamstown im talking about i have called them 3 times seems every one on day surgery wont get done now unless they were on the list since june last year more or less this meens that we all will have a extra 12 months to add on to the time we have already been waiting as i have been on since nov 16 last year

day surgery i have been seing dr nottle and he told me that i would be banded by the middle of this year and be done day surgery.... now i have been told that he wont be doing day surgerys from july this year and my surgery wont be done untill this time next year... im am totaly shattered... i have been on the public waiting list since november the 15th 2006... just dont know what to do now. as i would have got private health in nov and would have been done by nov this year.. there has been alot of people he has given false hope 2. omg are you happy about the pregnancy!!!! congratulations also i know that pregnancy is ok with the band as i made sure as i would like another baby next year.. im still waiting for a date so im not banded yet but he said by the middle of this year so am very close

hey all thought id just tell you that i have been back to Dr nottle and he said i should be banded halfway through this year so i should be getting done very soon... have to do the whole optifast thing for 3 weeks so not looking forward to that and its so expensive.. ill just start buying the crap now each week lol ok chow for now Kaylene

Well guys and girls i have had my appointment with Dr goldin in hoppers crossing. well i was so stressed before i went as i had hurd about all the test he usually likes you to have. well was i wrong to stress as he says I'm fairly healthy apart from my weight also i was worried about having to go get sleep studies done but he does not think i need them the only one he wants me to have is a lung function test. also he has given me the OK to have day surgery. so i am so happy i have been on the waiting list at Dr nottle's rooms since November the 15 2006 so I'm looking forward to finding out how long the day surgery is!!! anyhow i will sign of now good luck to those still waiting like me and good luck to all that has been loosing so much weight well done. Hey Guys i was only put on them as i have up to a 12 month wait and as soon as i get a date i will be stopping them. i needed to start loosing weight now as my health had started to go down hill since i last saw my Dr. he said i can only stay on them for a few months anyhow. well as for the weight loss i have lost 3 kg so I'm happy with that. need to start exercising but have not been doing that much i really need to kick my own ass . lol well I'm going away today and cant wait we leave at 12. we r going to Warrnambool for 4 nights staying in a cabin. going to watch the sprint cars and the boys are also taking the boat should be a fun weekend. Hey fee . i had had a script for reductil about a year ago.. its expensive was more than the duromine... who said bouncing of walls was bad for you (kidding) i had to make my self eat yesterday i was feeling sickly about 4pm and realised i had skipped lunch:hungry: ... not a good thing.... any how its only a drug you can get from your GP and like anything there is some risk to it.. not to be taken lightly. well i have officially stopped drinking coke and eating crap (for this week anyhow) lol but i hope i can keep it up until i get banded:clap2: . didn't drink alot of coke but thought i better cut it out. am trying my hardest to start walking it ain't happened yet. I'm not a real lazy person just find it hard to get motivated with 3 kids at home they keep you busy all day long. i have been thinking about waking up at about 7 and going for a walk i will try that tomorrow hmmmmm any how i must go house work around here does not get done by it self (dam cleaning fairy where are you geeees):omg: lol Bye Bye

Hello Susannah i have been put on some but its only for a kick start but I'm also not sure if Dr nottle is going to like it... I'm not sure on his view's on that. i guess when it comes down to it as long as you are loosing weight thats all that matter's tablets is a very short term thing but with the tablets I'm on you cant have any real problems besides your weight and if you have high blood pressure i know this is a no no... any how i know there are some over the counter tabs you can get I'm not sure how good they work but i know last time i took them they didn't work for me.. also the tabs i am on are $109... pricey hey any how good luck on your journey Kaylene

yeah the reason my dr said to loose weight and git fitter as i have asthma and its only associated with weight and that can put me in as a high risk and that it is a longer waiting list also he wants me to be healthyer for the op. any how maybe he is just trying to get me off my ass and give me a good reason to start now, than to wait untill i get the band ..i have not been on a diet for about 4 years hence the big weight gain i have a BMI of 52. dr nottle asked me to come back after i have been to see the other doctor and diatisian... and to make it a few weeks after i see physician so all the test results will be back... i dont care when i get in to have band, as i think that taking the first step to a better health is more than doing nothing at all and if i have to wait 12 months or more that is fine. as id never be able to afford to go private. and as for duromine my dr put me on it. as a kick start and nothing else. he made that clear to me when he said to me about going back on it.. dr nottle knew i had been on it and never said anything about it. i guess he has seen alot of people that would try anything at all to loose weight. i guess i can ask him his thoughts on duromine on my next appointment.. i have msn if you want to add me for a chat bronnie if you would like to add me. i first saw dr nottle in december thanks kayene

Hey guys congrats to all who have lost so much weight. I have my second appointment booked with Dr nottle early in march. going to dietitian next week on w-day i know they will kick my ass into gear well I'm hoping anyway lol. I'm dieting and trying to get fitter before i see the physician in w-bee and that is in Feb.. my Dr said the fitter i can get the less problems for Dr nottle the quicker i may get done... not sure if he is right but ill give it a go and its a goal for me to do.. he has placed me on duromine for a month to kick start me.. yeah i know alot out there will tell me how bad they are but truth is i have been on them before and lost 25kgs but like every time i stop the diet and tabs after about 5 months and kg creep back on plus more... but if i loose some weight then get banded I'm thinking that they will stay off..hmmmm my way of thinking lets just see what happens... also was told Dr nottle's waiting list is getting a little longer as he is getting well known and word of mouth is sending more and more there.. good luck to anyone else on his public waiting list. also are you on waiting list from the first time you see him or after you get all your test done.. cant remember if he said i was on from then or after i see him next. back to the duromine has anyone else been on these before banding? .. any how bye bye got to go do house work.kids have made havoc since school holidays started. I'm lucky that i don't have any health issues at the moment.. that is why I'm hoping for day surgery i wanna thank every one that has been giving me alot of info and personal experiences thanks Kaylene
