I went to the informational seminar in Jan., and quickly scheduled all appointments (ie. consultation, psych, nutritionist) had my PCP write letter (she had to write a second) and submitted request to insurance.  They denied  but with a peer-to-peer review I was approved.  Dominion Surgical's staff was very accomodating in scheduling my surgery so I could be back on soilds by vacation.  Once approved I could do surgery very quickly but had to wait to attend a support group.  So I am well on my way to surgery and am excited and a bit apprehensive and nervous.  I would love to be able to attend a support group regularly but distance prevents this from being a regular occurance.  I am fortunate that my sister-in-law and her uncle are both heading towards surgery, so I kinda have my own group.  I am hoping to hear stories from others that can relate to my start info and share their weight loss story.
