The only real problem I have had lately is the pain in my left shoulder that seems to get worse if I eat too much. It also hurts at times to raise my left arm over my head for too long. It feels like a pinched nerve. My doc offered to do an MRI but says that this is very common. I am just wondering if anyone else has this problem.

My nurse practioner said because the nerves all ran in sheaths across our body that it is probably sitting on a nerve. This does happen to me if I am hungry or too full or if anything is out of sinc. Everyone I talked to so far has said yes they get Left shoulder pain with their band--you think someone would have mentioned this-hmmmm.

That is so funny I called this my baby for the longest time. It took six years to get it with insurance paying. I always felt like I had a miscarriage everytime they denied me payment. Then I got my baby on Oct. 23 2006--YEAH!!! It just helped show me that I am a fighter! But close to 60lb weight loss I will love this baby forever! -
Mine is on the top of my shoulder. It is not bad just kinda annoying. I was banded 7 months ago. It is still a big yes to would I do it again. I feel so much better!

My port has turned, as we found out when I went to get a fill and she could not access the port easily. She said this is normal because of the way I am losing weight and exercising and she did not seem concerned. It is not bothering me, except maybe in certain situations. Anyway apparently this happens quiet often.

Yes yes yes a million times yes. I feel so much better, and continue to change and like what I see daily! I wish everyone could feel this great! -
I usually eat leftovers of fish or chicken. Or a ready to drink protien shake. Soup (ready to drink) with cheese in it. Or LF cottage cheese with splenda and a dash of whip cream.

you are going to have many different opinions when you go to an open forum-that is why it is here. I had different opinions when I was wanting to get the band and now that I have had the band about 6 months now. Things change once you have the band and it is restrictive, I could eat more in the begining but now-I can not eat as much-it will change with fills, although I do not condone Pizza after a week you can eat more at first.

I fought with Aetna for 6 years. Lots of tears and work. I kept a folder of everything that I did. I was told that your best bet would be to have a problem with internal scarring that would make the bypass a bad thing to have. I had this from previous c-sects. Also letters from people who have worked out with you and I even sent pictures of my exercise equipment. I had 3 doctors send in a recommendation letters for me. I asked alot of questions from people that did get approved and that was alot of help. I think I am the only person with Chevron that was ever approved. So If I can help I will do what I can to help. I was banded as of Monday the 23rd. It was pretty uneventful. I have slight pain. The only thing that bothers me is My pupils are dialated and so now I have to see and eye doctor, but otherwise I am doing well. Good luck to you on your journey.
