I was a single mother of two small children. Working in the medical field made it harder for me to get and stay healthy. I spent most of my 20's on the run and working to make the best life possible for them. I spent all of my childhood and teenage years being obese and was made to try every diet possible. None of them ever worked, and eventually made me really depressed. When i was diagnosed with HBP and depression at 25, I knew that something needed to be done. I intially met Dr. Wagner in 2006 after a co-worker told me about her success. The first go round, my ins denied my surgery, but that only told me that it wasnt the best time. I tried again last year after seeing Dr. Eagon for a 2nd opinion, and my surgery was approved within a week. Dr. Wagner was able to fit me right in and the rest is history. I have lost 23lbs since my surgery, and I can't say that it hasn't been hard work. Its an everyday struggle, but worth every minute. I can finally get out and play with my kids. I have more energy, and in greater mental health.
