So im banded and I feel like I got hit by a ton of bricks. lol I know it will get better but for now im just going to try and rest.

So Tomorrow morning is my BIG day and I am starting to get really nervous. I just got off the phone with the anesthesiologist and now its sinking in. I will need to be at the hospital by 8am and then I will be officially banded. Im happy and unsure all at the same time. :confused:

I just got my date and Im scheduled for August 23, 2010! Im excited and super anxious! I hope these next two weeks fly by, even though I know they wont.They never do when you need them to.

Ok so I had my pre-op today. I was a bit excited thinking I was going to finally get a for sure date! Well i walked out of there with a "well call you monday to pick a date"..... OH MY GOODNESS!!! I guess im partially to blame I cant do it on the 23rd like they had available. So on the bright side the nurse is going to try and work some schedules around and see if she can fit me in next week! I am hoping this is what I am going to hear on monday, I will be soooo very excited and ready to go. Keep your fingers crossed guys! its going to be the longest weekend of my life so far. :tt2:

I have been approved by my insurance and have my pre-op on This thursday august 5. The nurse told me it should be 2 weeks and then ill be getting surgery so I can do a pre-op diet. I was hoping i could have gotten only a week because my birthday is on the 14th and I start school pretty soon. Either way Im happy and this is the best bday present i could think of. I will keep you informed of my date when i find out on thursday! Im so anxious trying not to wish my days away.:thumbup: -Erika

Hey everyone, I am feeling really great. On July 23rd I called my doctor's office and the girl working on my file was out sick so I didn't get my update. HOWEVER, on Friday she called me and told me I had been approved. It still had not sunk in and I was waiting for confirmation before I got my hopes up. Well yesterday afternoon, my letter from Aetna arrived stating I had been APPROVED! I am so happy and I have my appointment with the surgeon on August 5th. I'm excited but still am unsure of what to expect at my pre-op. I am hoping I get it all over with before Fall classes start. So my choices are pretty slim and it would be really weird if I spent my birthday in surgery, ha ha but I would not be too bummed about that because I would be getting the best present EVER! -Erika :scared2:

wow is that with a specific insurance or just 24 hours at random? That would be FANTASTIC! but I wont hold my breath on it, ha ha :sad:

I was told that it could be 4 days to 2 more weeks till i get an answer. This is more nerve wrecking than the first time. I hear Aetna is fast. I guess we will see.

My name is Erika, I went and spoke to the lap band center here in my city out of curiosity, I am done with my nutrition consults and I am now awaiting the approval from my insurance company. I started the process in April and now I am so nervous during the waiting phase. :thumbup:
