$30 of products for $10 at Bariatric Choice
HatheryOnHerWay replied to HatheryOnHerWay's topic in Food and Nutrition
I've been ordering the Bariwise protein bars, and they are amazing. They taste like a candy bar to me! They might be too high carb for some folks, but I'm really digging them -
Can you drink gatorade post op?
HatheryOnHerWay replied to lifelovekix's topic in Food and Nutrition
I drink the low-cal Gatorade every day. It's 75 calories for the 32 oz bottle. I drink it because I can't get my fluids in otherwise! I sometimes drink the zero cal Powerade but I don't prefer it. I find it too sweet. -
May sleevers! How much have you lost so far?
HatheryOnHerWay replied to mrsplusamericajacksonville's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was sleeved May 22, and am down 52 pounds. So glad to have hit the 50 pound mark! Now on to the 75 goal... -
Definitely sounds like Vit D deficiency

Anyone have allergic reaction to steri strips?
HatheryOnHerWay replied to Living Lean 13's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yep! I had big red welts on my tummy for WEEKS! Honestly, the itching was the worst part of the healing process for me. -
You're beautiful before AND after

Post-sleeve, it's definitely weird to see how much "normal" people eat, and trying to comprehend that I used to eat that much too! It's kind of surreal.

Do you think you're going to get a reduction anytime soon?

I was wondering how big those were! They do look nice, but I can't imagine your poor back. Mine always hurts and mine were just F's!

I call "drinking 64 oz water" BS
HatheryOnHerWay replied to Damaris67's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I get about 50 oz daily on average, and that's about the best I can do. Any more than that and I'd never have time to eat -
I started a 44F, so I feel your pain (literally!) I'm only 3 months out, but my boobs have definitely begun to shrink. I'm not sure what size I am right now because there is no point in buying new bras for these ever-shrinking puppies--I would be so happy to end up a C. That would be great.

90 grams of protein a day---need ideas...please
HatheryOnHerWay replied to huligoo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wouldn't be able to hit 90 grams of protein per day on a DARE. -
That's not a stall. That's just your body recovering from surgery
-
Right, but the patch gets removed after a month. They're not really comparable.

If I was a horse, they'd shoot me

It sucks now, but soon it'll all be in the rear view -

I still have a hard time with this. Now I try to push my extra food onto whatever poor soul is dining with me.
-
Why not just do the liquid diet without the patch?!?
-
It's definitely hard feeling like you're under a microscope all the time! Perhaps when you're not in meltdown mode you could let hubby and daughter know that though you appreciate all their support, sometimes it would be better if they just left comments in their head

We're you ever thin before surgery?
HatheryOnHerWay replied to Reigo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was a thin teen. Didn't start gaining weight til I moved out at 18 and moved in with my (now) hubby. He has a crazy metabolism and can eat whatever he wants without going above 165 pounds. I picked up most of his bad habits -

Oh man this is one of my biggest pet peeves!!!

Weight Loss 1st Week Post Op
HatheryOnHerWay replied to kitkatcannon's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Put that scale away for another week. There is no point in weighing for at least two weeks post-op
