Something interesting about all the profile pics
HatheryOnHerWay replied to Justinh125's topic in Rants & Raves
If it weren't for flattering selfies, there would be no pics of me in existence for the last 10 years!! -
Best and worst "compliments"

I figure people have seen me gain and lose so many times already, they probably figure they're wasting their breath -

Did you keep a "before" outfit?
HatheryOnHerWay replied to Catherine707's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm definitely keeping 1 pair of my top sized pants for motivation -
A fork that tells you how long you've been eating, and how often between bites.
HatheryOnHerWay replied to A_New_Lily's topic in The Lounge
This is actually brilliant! -
That's why I searched and searched for a reasonably priced self-pay doc in the states. My husband flat-out refused to even discuss Mexico

How bad was it? Would you do it again?
HatheryOnHerWay replied to extracat's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'd definitely do it again. Whatever pain/discomfort I had is so far in the rear view I barely remember it. -
How long post-op did you need shakes?
HatheryOnHerWay replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I still drink a Premier shake for breakfast every day at almost 4 months out. I'm never hungry in the morning for "real food", plus I like the Premier shakes -
I'm sure she's trying to be supportive, but it's hard to feel like you have the Food Police watching you! Hang in there

Mine is starting to come out; I guess I don't mind. I just ordered a wig. I'll use it as an excuse to wear cute wigs.

The bigger sizes take longer to get out of. The smaller sizes are closer together! It depends on your body shape and how you carry your weight, too. I started out in a 22 and am in a 16 now, and I'm only down 55 pounds. I carry most my weight in the middle, and it's coming off there first.

Hmm, I continued to use my pills throughout the whole process. Guess it's another one of those things that varies surgeon to surgeon.

Losing over 100 pounds and gaining it back in less than a year. I realized I just can't do this anymore. I need help keeping it off.

Bummer! Hope you feel better soon!

I'm over 50 pounds lost now and my hubby hasn't said anything. One day I finally asked him, "So do I look any different?" He replies "Well yeah!" For goodness sake...wouldn't want to, y'know, SAY SOMETHING!!

Do you log what you eat on MyFitnessPal or something similar? It might help you to physically see in numbers what you're eating, so you can reassure yourself it's not too much. Helps me a lot.
