Why should you eat slowly and not overeat?

My "emergency shut-off" has symptoms suspiciously similar to dumping syndrome. Makes me wonder...
  2. Thanks for the recommendation! I was going to buy those, but then I decided they looked chalky. Knew I should have gone w/ my gut!

    everytime i swallow something..

My surgeon never recommended a PPI. Is there a reason to take one if you're not symptomatic of having too much stomach acid?

    Pain pain go away

Everyone's recovering is different, but I had my surgery on a Wednesday (5/22) and was back to work the next week Tuesday (5/28).

    Sleeved 3/25/13 - selfie headshots :)

And your eyelashes seem to have grown, too!
  7. I wonder if the guy knows he smells like a rotting carcass? When you're around yourself 24/7, sometimes you can't smell it anymore

    Counting fluids

On that same topic...do you include your protein shakes in your fluid intake?

Why should you eat slowly and not overeat?

    Another very accurate description!

    XXX rated super serious question!

Do you know about how many oz your stomach can hold right now? If so, just say "Honey, I need you to ensure you will not ejaculate more than XX oz. I hope you understand." haha

Why should you eat slowly and not overeat?

One would think I'd learn after the first few times, but nope.

    HCG after Sleeve?

I'm assuming you've already tried upping your caloric intake to "trick" your body into breaking the stall?

what is the big hype with greek yogurt?

    Sure, why not?

4th day of pre op and in pain

Assuming you meant post-op (not pre-op), my surgeon gave me this anti-nausea suppository (I know, I know, not the most appealing) to take and it helped a lot. It also knocked me out so I could get some quality sleep.

So im doing my cardio and

People still don't view obesity as a disease, even though science has proven so much of it is genetic. Imagine if she were saying something like "People with heart disease are so weak!" or "People with cancer--psht, why don't they just get off their lazy butts and do something about it?" Can't imagine people would find that nearly as acceptable!
  20. Out of curiosity, I'm wondering how many of the folks who've recently started threads regretting their sleeve had a psychological evaluation done prior to surgery? I'm not accusing you of anything, just wondering! (I didn't have one done)
  21. My experience so far has been pretty similar to when I did Medifast. Small, high Protein meals. Not really hungry. Have to drink lots of fluids. I know everyone's experience is different, but so far mine has been pretty Medifast-ish (sans the one big "Lean & Green" meal per day!) (I'm still in the soft food stage, too, so that's why)

    2 month check up

    Way to go, dude!
  23. I think that long-term you'll be happier with your decision to get the sleeve vs. the bypass

    Seriously, you can't fix stupid

Exactly! It's a shame threads have to keep closing because of one person.

    COMPLICATION ?

Your body has been through a big stress--you could just have a case of the hives. I've been known to break out in those when my defenses are low. Probably best to call up your PCP and have them look at your spots and order a blood draw.
