He sounds EXACTLY like my husband! We still don't really discuss my sleeve. Basically I just get my support from friends and this forum. For whatever reason the surgery is a sensitive topic so hubby and I just rarely discuss it (as much as I wish he was my biggest cheerleader!)

No drain here, and my surgery was also outpatient.

Well if you're me, here's why... Because if you eat quickly and eat more than you should, you will feel like someone kicked you in the kidneys. And then like that same person is trying to pull your stomach out through your chest with a rusty hook. And then like you're cramping so hard your body might just permanently stay folded in half. And then, once the worst part passes, you'll just feel vaguely like a toddler is punching your middle. And that's why you should eat sloooowly and listen for the signals that you're full.

I gotta say I disagree with this part. Sometimes a man or a woman just wants the release without having to involve another person. I don't think the OP was trying to HIDE it from her husband; she just doesn't want to put on a show for him.

I suppose you could have some yeast or something growing in there??

I had this happen at 3 weeks. I went up a pound, then all at once lost 7. I figure there has to be some explanation for it. This makes the most sense of theories I've read so far!

I can't wait until my collarbone decides to make an appearance again!

They really need to come up with some better surgical tape. I swear most of us get a reaction! I know I did. ITCHY!!

How far out are you?

My abdomen was super swollen for about a week at about 2 weeks out. I never went to the doctor to find out why, but for me I think it was a combination of retained fluid and constipation

That sounds like a good "regular" diet, but not a good WLS diet.

My problem with compliments on weight loss is that they always seem to provoke a barrage of follow-up questions I have no desire whatsoever to answer.

For gosh sake, have they never heard of a freaking period before? I'd be going postal.

Is a heating pad ok? I could have sworn I wasn't supposed to use one right away, but then again I may have pulled that out of you-know-where

Every day during the work day I eat a Greek yogurt, 2 string cheese, and a Protein shake. And of course the heathen water! For dinner I eat cottage cheese, Soup, chili, tofu, etc.
