    Chewable Multi-Vitamin

    Have you tried Centrum Flavor bursts, they are new. It's NOT a gummy. I can relate it to a skittle, where you chew and it dissolves. They are pretty good. Takes away a sweet craving too

  5. Due to lack of insurance last year, I went for my 1st fill of the new year (totally covered too)! Thankfully I maintained my weight exactly from Feb 2012 until now. Feels weird, like im starting over again. I feel like a newbie lol. So even though I missed a year, Im commited to making 2013 MY YEAR!!!! GL to all out there! Nicole

    Stuck?

    It is NOT a good feeling, I can tell you that !!! When it happens to me it's usually bc I ate to fast or didn't chew enough. Sometimes your body forces it back up (yuck) but some other times you have to bring it up.., either way it's not pleasant! Chew chew chew you food and go slow!

So after I had Fluid taken OUT of my band in October 2011, and after gaining 20 lbs, I finally got the courage to go back to my Dr. and get a fill... 18lbs I gained I had my fill today, and just ate some broth for dinner (Drs.' orders) i am SO HUNGRY and craving sweets... Im full, but I still want something. Water is helping a little - hopefully I get back on track and get motovated to work out and get my a$$ in gear!!!!!!!!!! How do I combat these cravings/urges... i feel lost again
  8. I guess each Dr. has different instructions based (hopefully) on patients. I was on fluids for 10 days, then mushies for 1 week, then onto food after. I would stick w. what your Dr. is telling you - if you feel that you can't do it - call them up and ask if you can move onto the next stage. Good Luck =)
  9. I also drink, or at least have a glass of water by my side, when eating... I have learned its easier than excusing yourself 3 or 4 times if there is a problem. Im able to "chug" about 1/4 to 1/2 bottle of water w. no problem (thank goodness). I am surprised you are able to drink seltzer. I am a seltzer FAN, & find it difficult, hurts sometimes, so I stay away.

    A Stuck Question

    If I feel stuck, i walk it off - if i cant get it up or its just that uncomfortable, a quick walk on the treadmill works for me. Helps pass the food down, thank goodness...
  13. I too have salad just about every other night for din din... I just make an effort to chew chew chew the salad... I eat Arugula salad - but if youre not a fan, and your worried about it being stuck, try shredded lettuce (subway salads are made w. shredded lettuce fyi). Its a smaller cut and may work for you. My Dr. told me to stay away from salad only bc theres not much nutritional value in it - but throw some chicken/shrimp/fish on it and it works fine for me =) Good Luck.

    Suddenly Restriction!

    I had the same issues the past month, one week i was very restricted in my eating, then one day I could eat a house, next day back to restriction... its like a yoyo.............Dr. tells me exactly what reverie said.. weather, time of day, stress is a huge factor also... Dr. said its normal and not to worry.. so when he doesnt worry, I dont worry
  15. Steak, - I just cant tolerate it - and im almost 1 year banded... i do miss it to this day, but im better off w. out it... and bread,,, bread just gets stuck - its not even worth trying...
  16. I usually cant have solid food til dinner time.. breakfast is usually a muscle milk shake, lunch yogurt, and dinner is a meat... mostly in the am my dr says the pouch is tighter... its normal.
  17. I get the headaches - it usualy means (FOR ME) that i am done eating... Ive noticed that regardless if i eat slow or a lil faster, i still get them. My dr said everyones body tells them differently when ur full, so i assume this is mine - its not a major headache, almost like the onset of one - once i stop eating, im OK, it goes away after 5 min or 10. good luck

    Holiday Finger Food Suggestions?

    I think this is going to be tough for me, the holiday season... bc i really MISS enjoying food... im slowly getting past it - but i miss the tastes and textures of it... I have to get some new recipes or new ideas... im getting bored w. chicken, turkey, eggs and cheese, and etc etc etc.... Good luck and Happy Holidays!

    ~*~ Workout Challenge and Chat Thread ~*~

    Good Morning, you all are amazing - I just started commiting myself to working out every day, its not much right now - i do a work out dvd that equates to 3miles of walking. Its hard as hell and my muscles are telling me... YOU HAVENT WORKED OUT IN A LOOOONG TIME. lol. But i like the way its making me feel. I feel better, more alive like i can tackle anything. I am doing these dvd's every day 6days a week. Some days its hard to get the 3 miles in, so i can only do 2 @ times. But as long as im doing something, i guess its better than sitting on the couch watching TV or eating. Im going to keep this post thread in my favs and check back to see how you guys are doing... Keep up the good work....:wub:

    Confused...

    I was banded 2 weeks ago, and have lost 12 lbs... 1st week liquids/2nd week mushies/Dr office put me on reg food, within reason going forward... I gained 3 lbs,:biggrin:, i wonder if its bc im actually putting food into my system after being on pretty much nothing for the past 2 weeks. I go for my 1st fill on 5/14, what can I do NOW to make sure I dont gain more weight... Protein, fiber, i cut off carbs after the mushie week , any other tips or help w. what I cna eat 2 make sure i do not gain more weight b4 my 1st fill... Kinda a downer.
