I have been fighting weight loss all my life, to the point I was put on the ionomin and pondimon when i was in high school.  Pills worked for a little while, what ever I lost I alsways got back and some.  I've researched different surgeries, just never really thought it would be possible.  I hated trying on clothes at the store, I would cry!  It got to the point where I would have my mother pick up clothes for me, so I had no choice but to wear them.  I felt unatractive to my husband, who said "I still want you the same as I did the day we met."  Bull _ _ _ _.  He does love me, but I hated myself so much that I couldn't believe anyone could be attracted to me.  One day I found the information for the lap band and a whole year went by before I convinced myself I needed to do it, no matter the cost.  My husband gave me the okay based on finding an insurance that would pick up 80%.  My primary wouldn't cover nothing, even though it was a medical necessity.  Secondary insurance, Cinergy, approved the surgery and said they would pay.  Two days later, I had the surgery.  Now they have done everything to refuse payment (still fighting).  But, back to my story, I've lost 64 lbs. in 10 months, that's awesome and I'm actually comfortable where I'm at, sure i would like to loose a little more in my thights, but I'm content.  I enjoy shopping, hated to shop, now Kohls has become one of my favorite stores.  My knees, ankles and feet don't hurt anymore, but I have  picked up other issues.  My sex drive is gone!!!  I have constant headaches and i am always tired.  Small price to pay for feeling good about the way you look, but a big price for my husband to pay. Would I suggest it to someone else, absolutely.  Just feeling better about myself has made me a less _itchy person.  I even jumped on the trampoleene with my kids the other day, freaked them out!
