Alaska Bandit

Hi all, I am writing from Alaska, where I am seeing Spring finally arrive. With Spring comes my desire for a healthier me. I have started the process towards LapBand, I am hoping to have the procedure done no later than late July. I have to travel 400 miles to see the Dr., same for the procedure. His office is working with me to complete as many tests (in my hometown, with my local Dr.) as I need prior to the LapBand. I will have to make a few trips to his locale before he operates. Most people would be excited as they could go shopping but hey, I'm saving that for after I've reached my goal. Gee, I have many sizes of clothing in my closet and dresser to get me closer to that goal without having to shop. I am very excited, I have been working towards this change since last year, after many challenges met, I am able to do so. I have a huge support group in my husband, son, my friends, in-laws, co-workers and boss. One of my friends, she needs to lose only about 40 pounds, said that she will do the "liquid diet with me"....while she is with me! :thumbup: Now that's a great friend! Anyhow, I am excited. I go for the Orientation, bloodwork, support group meetings, 1:1 with Dr. on the 28th....at that time I hope to have an idea when I get the LapBand. Hooray for Me! Hooray for all of us!
