Well folks, today is the day! I check in at 10:30, and my surgery should be around 12:30. I am super excited, not as nervous as I thought I would be. My pre-op appointment was yesterday, and everyone made me feel at ease. I will keep you posted on how things go!

I'm on day 4 of my pre-op diet...getting banded on Sept 2 in Decatur.

Ok...so I've been reading all sorts of posts on LBT. Now I am worried about saggy skin and bat wings! I know that ultimately I want to lose weight for better health, but I can't help being fearful that after reaching my goal I'll look like a shar pei! Does anyone else feel this way??

I plan to drink EAS AdvantEDGE Low Carb shakes. I start my pre-op diet August 25.

Whoop whoop! We're getting banded on the same day! I'm a little nervous about vomiting as well. One of my sisters vomits often, but I believe it's because she has not learned how to properly slow down and eat her food. I am determined to vomit as little as possible, even though I realize I will have to go through some growing pains as I adjust to life with the band.

I am paying for my surgery through my Health Savings Account ($5,000) and Care Credit ($3,500).

My surgery is on September 2. I start my pre-op diet on August 26. I'm so ready to start losing weight!
