Hello everyone! I am hoping that someone will have had this same experience. I was banded on Jan 23rd and had my first fill on Feb 22nd and was filled 2.2 cc in a 4 cc band I believe. When I first recvd the fill I was very restricted was eating very little and lost 4 pounds the 1st week afterwards. I have now gained 2 of that back and feel the way I did before the fill! I am terrified that I have a leak and the fill has just emptied out. I have to go to CO for the fills and it costs me a lot of money, I am so scared that something is wrong. Does anyone have any advice or similar experience? Lee

Remember most people are counting what they weighed before their pre op diet. So I have lost 23 pounds, but 8 of it was before surgery. 12 pounds is almost a pound a day! HELLO!

I understand where you are coming from. I lost 25 punds almost immediately and have gained a couple back and am at a standstill. And I am thinking, how can I be eating so little and not losing weight! But i am trying to have a good attitude and remember that in 6 months I will be a different person, and try to get rid of that quick weightloss mentality and remember that this is no longer a diet where I will lose a few and then gain and then lose a few more, etc, but that this is my life now, a better life, and keep remembering that it won't be long until everyone will see a difference. Iwas banded on 1/23 and I can eat anything as long as I chew it up really really well. I have lost almost 25 pounds already because I have had diarhhea due to a bacterial infection. And so even though I can eat anything, I take one bite of something good and that is about it because I am terrified of gaining back any weight! I wish I didn't feel like eating anything yet! Stomach sleeper? I was banded on 1/23 and am just now being able to sleep on my stomach, what I did was use a king size pillow next to me and sleep kind of on my side and some on my stomach. The large pillow kept me from being completely on my stomach, but allowed me to have the same feeling of doing so. I just throw my leg on top of the big pillow and let it support me. I had my surgery with Dr. K 9 days ago. I thought that he and his staff were wonderful! My mom went with me and she thought that he was the best Dr. she had ever met in her life. He is easily accessible, answers ?'s almost immediately, calls you back, he is really great!

I was just banded 9 days ago by Dr. Kirshenbaum in Denver, CO. You will not find a nicer man and a nicer staff! He calls you whenever you have a question, his staff is quick to answer any questions. I would suggest him highly if your insurance doesn't work out for you. www.lapbandrockies.com
