Your are a funny girl! I was banded 4-28-10 and am doing great. I live in West Hills, close to you so we can support each other if you would like. I was terrified, but everything went terrific. I had my surgery in Encino with Dr. Feiz. I go for my first fill in two weeks. So far no nausea or vomiting and I have lost 15 pounds in two weeks. I am happy.

Glad you are doing well. I know what you mean about the diet, I am already sick of it. Oh well, its temporary! I was to go back to work tomorrow, but I am waiting until Thursday. I see my doc on Wed.

Thats awesome, 15 pounds already, congrats. All we can do is move forward. The key is to stay focused on the goal. It is a life change that will be shocking but well worth it I am sure!

I am nervous, what about you?

I am doing fine. My doctor didn't seem as concerned about me losing weight ahead of time. I am not quite sure, it is something I will be asking. I bought liquid Tylenol, liquid calcium, liquid cod liver oil (yuk) and chewable vitamins along with some protein powder. Its strange but my stomach has been feeling weird lately. Its probably my mind controlling my body cause I know whats coming! My pre-op was done on Tuesday and it was fine. I was checking the credentials of my surgery center and their accreditation had expired in February and they were in the middle of renewing it. I flipped and called the surgery center and the board that does all the checking and certifying of the facility. I put a call into my Dr. as I thought why would he do surgery there and how could they have allowed it to lapse. I guess I really stirred the pot because today I got an e-mail that they passed their inspections and have been renewed and I should call and they will fax it over to me.

I haven't really been dieting carefully. I have not been overeating, just trying for the last hoorah! I only have to do a 2 day liquid diet which starts Monday. How about you?

Hi Lakeside, I am having my surgery the 28th as well. I am a bit freaked out after reading all the negative blogs tonight. I want to be one that person who has no problems, but I won't know until its done. I HATE TO BE VOMITING OR SICK TO MY STOMACH. We will be in the same boat at the same time. Good luck!
