I am new to this forum.. I came in today as I am researching and making my decision as to whether I will be going with Lap band or bypass. I have found the information and the forums have helped tremedously!!I have decided to pursue Lap band .. now that I have made the decision I am just excited to start the process.  I have insurance that should cover all of the expenses, but I will find out the specifics during my appointment tomorrow.  I hope to be very successful!I have been overweight my entire life.  The only time I remember being thin is when I was in 3rd grade.  I have been the 'thick' or 'fat' girl, the 3rd wheel, the "omg, you'd be so pretty if you lost weight" girl and many countless others.  I am 41 years old.  I have three boys.  I am probably the healthiest fat chick you will ever meet...BUT I couldn't get up from playing on the floor with my 2 1/2 year old a few weeks ago and that's when I needed someone/something to intervene.  I am a hard worker, but no matter how hard I work now I can't seem to make any headway in the weightloss arena.  I want to be around to see my boys get older.. graduate high school and hopefully college.. get married, have children of their own.  I want to go with them to carnivals and on airplanes without being afraid I won't fit.. I want to run after my lil guy and not worry about losing my breath or my boobs hitting my forehead or the fat smack together.. I want to play in the pool rather than just sit on the bench watching.  I WANT TO BE INVOLVED.  I will update frequently... omg.. I'm stoked! can't wait can't wait can't wait!
