Well I finally got some measurements done yesterday. I have known that I lost inches but did not measure until yesterday. I am down 3 1/2 inches around the waist and 4 1/2 inches around the hips. My arms have remained the same. I am down 27 pounds since October 1st, 2009. I can't see the difference but other people can. So that makes me happy. I will be even more happy when I start seeing the difference. :wink2:

I have never heard of any doctor doing this. It would really scare me having so much at one time. I had my 1st fill of 2.5 cc's and I had to go back and have .5 ccs removed and still had trouble. The nurse wanted me to come back and have more removed but I did not. I was unable to eat or drink for 4 days until the .5 cc's was removed. Be careful.

Band to tight yet no fill in over a year !
katbabie34 commented on mictim's blog entry in Blog 90158
I had my 1st fill and I could not eat or drink anything for 4 days. I could not even sip water either. He only put in 2.5 cc's, he removed .5 cc's. I was able to drink with no problems but when I went to eat I had alot of pain. It started near my chest and then I would get pain in my right shoulder. It has been over a week and for the most part I can eat now. I think I am going to be on a liquid diet for one week after I get my next fills. The good part about not being able to eat or drink for the 4 days was I lost 9 pounds. Good luck to you! -
Hello everyone. Well it has been over 1 week since I had some fluid removed from my band. I am at 2cc's. I am finally able to eat again. I think from here on out I am going to be on a liquid diet for a week after I receive fills. The pain is just to much if I attempt to eat anything. Feeling much better now. I also gave myself my 1st B shot today. :w00t:

I had my first fill 6 weeks after my surgery. I could not eat or drink for 4 days. When I went back to doctor he stated he only put in 2.5cc's, he then removed .5 cc's of fluid. I was able to start drinking immediately. Now I am still having trouble with food. Even soft foods, I will eat a small bite then I get instant pain around my chest and then it goes to my right shoulder. Then pain is really bad. I am calling doctor tomorrow but would like to know if anyone else has experienced this?

Have you experienced any pain from the fill? I had my first fill and I could not eat or drink for 4 days. I went back and he removed .5 cc and was able to drink. I can eat very little. I experience a lot of pain in my chest then it goes to my right shoulder. The pain is very bad.

Nervous about psych appt
katbabie34 replied to amey_idaho's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You have nothing to be nervous about for the psych appt. As far as the other appointment I'm sorry I don't know what that is. The psych appt was very simple and easy they just ask basic questions. You will be fine.
