In need of some "guy" advice

Hey SippNSotaGirl, If he didn't say anything else, leave it up to him. The ball is in his court now. If I were in your situation, I would not ask a second time. He might just have been busy but I would have taken his answer as a denial. Remember you work together in the same company and he might not want to give you a straight answer because he might be afraid it will cause problems. I suggest to date online and find some guys to date on locally. Plentyoffish.com is a great free website, there is also Tagged.com, its more like Facebook but many use it for dating. Just try a few things online to get out there. I'm dating right now different guys and I'm over 100 lbs over weight. I have not been banded, but I'm planning to in the future. I might not be able to get it for another year. Hope this helped. Sincerely, Newera4ever
  4. Hey Everyone, I think I might be in the same boat. I checked my company's insurance policy and it states under "Exclusions" that it does not cover anything that is Non-surgical weight loss or surgical weight loss programs. Ugh!!! Does anyone know if there is an appeal to these exclusions that the company makes? Are you sure you can't buy a rider through your employers company? Girls I'm with you on this one. I have been wanting to get the surgery for over 6 months now. But like most of you, I do not have the best credit and can't afford out of pocket. The doctor I want is Dr. Nestor De La Cruz- Munoz. People say he is one of the best one's in Miami, FL. I'll have to read on those sites that you girls posted about. Good luck to everyone and keep posting information on this forum. I'll take anything I can. Sincerely, NewEra4Ever
  5. Hi everyone, I'm here becuase I have researched and checked out this wonderful website on more information. I have also researched other websites and the Lap-Band website. I have research what doctor I would want the surgery with and I have gone to a seminar to get some questions answered. I decided to look into Lap-Band surgery about a month ago. I have dieted, exercised, and everything you can think of. I have actually maintained pretty well in the last two years but I have started to gain it again in the recent 3-4 months. It makes me depressed and my health does not get any better. I have a weird condition called Pars Planitis and it's inflammation in the eyes. This causes for me to loose my vision and eventually I can go completely blind. I have been fighting this for over 4 years now. The doctor has had me on Prednisone for over 4 years and on Methotraxate for 3 years, I just got it changed to Cellcept and they are finally trying to ween me off the Prednisone. Unfortunately this has caused me to gain even more weight than I already had. I have always been fat, pictures state that I have never really been skinny in any period of my life. I am currently 28 years old and would love to get a hold of my life. I have always had asthma and recently it's been acting up. I also have lower back pains and it has been like that for the past two years. I also have trouble standing for long periods of time, my feet kill me. I'm currenly weighing 235lbs and would like to be in a healthy weight for my size. I'm 5'2 1/2, I'm really short for a woman. I believe that the eye condition, my recent act of asthma, my lower back pains, and my feet pain would go away if I was at a healthy weight. I also snore! I never use to snore when I was weighing 30lbs less, now I do and I think that is affecting my sleep too! I'm always tired and sleepy. So that is why I decided that I needed a little bit of extra help. I don't have a problem being active and exercising and I still try to do that every so often and love outdoor sports. I'm trying to go play tennis once again, I stopped a couple months back because my back was acting up. I also love swimming at the pool and beach when summer is here so I'll be taking that up too. My problem has always been eating, I dont get full with little amounts. I did the Jenny Craig and it was great, I did it for 1 1/2 years and lost over 40lbs but I was always hungry..it was never enough. I was always torturing myself for that period of time. It was very tough but I did like is that I learned to eat healthier and to exercise more often. I know I would do great on the Lap-Band. I checked to see if I was elligable through my insurance but I'm not. I tried getting a loan for the surgery but I was denied (too much on school loans and my current car) so I can't afford to get the surgery right now. I have done the math and I'll be able to get it done in 11 months or so. So for now I'll be checking the website out and see how everyone is doing. Get some insight on everything I can think of. I'll be making an appointment with two doctors by January of 2011. I want to get my surgery by April if not May. Hope to see you around. Sincerely, Zachy
