I have been overweight most of my life and gained 60 lbs when I moved to the USA 8yrs ago. I havebeen unable to loose weight through dieting and exercise and keep it off, I chose the Lapband after a friend who works in cardiovascular medicine suggested that I consider it. I am now about 6 weeks post op.
