<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=460><TBODY><TR><TD align=left>Made a Mistake? Make a YOU-Turn</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> Have you enjoyed a few forkfuls of a coworker's cake or picked at your friend's fries? That's OK. You're going to make wrong turns. You're going to be tempted by not-so-good-for-YOU foods. Does that mean you should steer off the dietary cliff and fall into the fatty crevasse of destructive eating? Of course not. Instead of falling into a defeatist mentality by drop-kicking healthy eating the moment you make one bad choice, confront it. How? By repeating the YOU Diet Mantra: "At the next available moment, make an authorized YOU-turn." Say it three times, put down the tub of cookie dough, and get back on the right road. More: What kills any regimen of healthy eating isn't the occasional brownie or slice of pizza; it's the cascade of behavior that happens after the initial indulgence. Use the YOU Diet Mantra to steer yourself back -- and understand that you can make mistakes, but that you can correct them with some nonjudgmental coaxing. Why does it work? It gives you a mental crutch to carry when you're faced with difficult eating situations. It reminds you to be confident, to be positive, to know that the harm isn't in the first mistake, it's in not figuring out how to deal with it. Reference: YOU: On a Diet. Roizen, M. F., Oz, M. C., New York: Simon & Schuster, 2006.

Hello...everyone! Has anyone ever heard of any a product called Focus28? I found it through a website on Stacey Halprin who was just on Opah. She is recommending it. I ordered it, but I haven't received! I called three different telephone numbers and now I am still waiting for a return call from this guy who sounded like he could kill me through the phone...LOL I justed email Stacy too.... Here is the website..., but I am not recommending it unless they straighten out the problem https://www.focus28wellness.com/index.asp

I am with all of you too, but I feel like I have been struggling the whole time. I want to get tighten up again, but my doctor can't get me in until July 16th...go figure! I thought this was going to be easier and I can't believe the way this band changes from day to day. Today your tight and can't even get a piece of chicken down and tomorrow you can eat 3 pieces of pizza. Same for the time of the day...mornings tight and night wide open...which is a huge problem for me...I"m a night snacker. I guess it's they way of life now. I'm sure as we lose weight we should lower our calories intake. Even WW does that... I probably should be at around 900-1000 and I believe woman have more cravings than men because of our hormones. I don't know...I wish there was a magic room we can all step into and come out skinny!

Just wanted to let you all know that I got my order from Focus23. Stacy Halprin (herself) took care of it and emailed me back. She thinks they just got overloaded after she was on Oprah.

I just wanted to let you know that Stacy Halprin (herself) emailed me and took care of the problem...she assured me that I will love this product. It was overnighted...yesterday and it is here! She thinks that they were just overloaded with orders after her appearance on Oprah. Probably True!

OK...this is how I did it... First save your picture as a jpg document. If you can resize so that they are not huges it is better. The way to do that would depend on your camera software. Next...Click on Post Reply Click on the attachment icon (it looks like a paperclip) click on browse and find your saved pictures click on upload Type your message in the message block Submit Reply

Thanks...it's just so slow that's why I had to take pictures to remind myself that I have lost some. You need to take pictures. You've lost a lot and we would love to see your changes.

I agree about going or calling your doctor. When I had to much in my band...I went for weeks thinking this is normal, so to speak. The thing I wasn't doing was after you PB (just once) I was told to go on liquids ONLY for 24 hours. Instead...I PBing and went on trying to eat. If I had done what I was suppose to do...I probably wouldn't have gotten so swollen inside. Another thing that might be happening is a blockage in the stoma...just a thought.

Boy...this place is dead today.

I just have one thing to add to this issue...make sure he is being careful online or not on these sites at ALL! There are a lot of weirdos out there!

I should just do it with you, so I can get a new start on losing weight...I'm glad the information helped. It helped me too. I just have to stay away from junk food.

23 days until surgery and you are starting the pre-op diet? I wonder why Dr. Malley has you doing this and I did only 2 days worth of liquids before surgery?
-
Thanks...I thought the Slim Fast Low Carb was low...they actually don't have more than 6 carbs...not a lot sugar in them, but the ones you are recommending only have 3...I"ll get some. Thanks.

If you talking about prbrooksie (me)...I have restriction..I'm just in love with food. I am fat because of my love. I also get bored too. I have a seriously boring job. On the weekends...I hardly eat. In fact, I've noticed that I lose weight better of a weekends than the week.
-
I am not losing very fast either and haven't for weeks. I know why! I haven't been strict. I sneak in a cookie and then a handful of crackers or a Reece Peanut Butter cup from the grocery store. I've been walking a few times a week, but I could do better. After 2 slim fast drinks I am still craving something sweet....I just got done eating a handful of Cheez-its. Now I want something sweet, but I have a golf ball stuck in my throat from the Cheez-its...so maybe it will stop me from the candy bar I'm dreaming about...LOL. I have to face this everyday. I am getting better than I was and it will take me longer to lose weight than when I was in my 20's. It is crazy HARD!

Why Aren't You Losing Weight?
prbrooksie replied to WASaBubbleButt's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have a problem with sweets too! I enjoy them too much. I can eat right almost all day and then I sneak in a cookie here and there or I have to run to the grocery store for something and I grab a Reese Peanut Butter Cup. Like you I will continue to fight it! -
Maybe this will help...it is a link to a doctor in Kansas City who explains everything! The information you are wanting is towards the back pages. http://www.lsaobesity.com/Lap-BandDietGuide.htm
